Migros

This was one of the biggest Migros I have been to and it’s right next to the Bahnhofstrasse where all the shops are.
First floor has takeaway food and a few shops including shoe store.
I was pleasantly surprised to find Migros restaurant on 4^th floor. It has salad (warm/​cold) bar, made-​to-​order pasta/​pizza section, dessert section, also daily deal warm dish section with fish/​chicken with sides.
All are about 15 or less CHF. This is a bargain in Zurich!
Milchkaffee (almost like cappuccino but made with coffee, not espresso) is 3CHF.
I will go back to try pasta someday. A giant Parmasan cheese having grated parmasan was big appealing for me :)
PS: Toilets are not free. a glass of water is free

This review is for the bike repair outfit in the sports shop on the 2^nd floor. If one experiences a flat tire on a Sunday or Monday and can’t be arsed with repairing it, then, have no fear, this Migros City bike repair is OPEN on a Monday. From what I gather, it may be one of the only bike shops in town open on Monday, so one might wish to call ahead if a same-​day repair is desired. I popped in at a time when the seemingly one-​man-​band that is Marc the Monteur had his hands full with work. I left my bike in his capable hands and picked it up the next day.

I would rather like to make two reviews at once here, one for the shopping center overall and one for the restaurant but that does not seems possible, so here we go.
I will start with the shopping center since that is simple. You may indeed find whatever you want here as it has underlined by a previous reviewer. Well, that’s a shopping mall. However, I’d like to add that you can also find pretty good deals since «Aktions» do stack. A friend of mine had to buy a computer in emergency due to non-​reparable issue (well, his computer was too old anyway) and the computer was already discounted by 100, — CHF (officially written) and received a further 10% discount because the whole shopping mall was have a 10% discount on everything. The selection of electronic devices is however not that big and you can’t for example buy beamers.
Onward to the «restaurant» part. OK, that’s not really a restaurant, that’s a buffet, like any Migros restaurant. It is located on the top level and has quite a lot of seats, even a terrace outside for sunny days. But the main point here is that you can get a meal (and seat) for a fast-​food price. During weekdays you can get the Menu-​B (under the 10, — CHF mark) which is basically the equivalent of all those M-​Budget products you can find in Migros (you know those with the ugly green packaging). The portions are small but the food is fine. Sometime you can get a Salad or Fruit without any extra costs. This is the «not so hungry» option.
Another option is to get the salad buffet on Wednesday. There you can get as much salad from the buffet as you can fit in your plate (you can also pick some fruits) and instead of paying 2,90 CHF/​100g, you will pay 12,50 CHF and that’s a really good deal. And, yes the salad buffet does change from time to time, but you will often see the same stuff anyway, this could use some improvement. Sometime the staff do not speak English, but that’s not such a big deal for a buffet, and they are friendly anyway.
So, should your office lack some kind of canteen, you may want to give it a try.

I haven’t been here in ages and had forgotten how awesome it is. One-​stop shop for everything in this MMM Migros – groceries, electronics, sports stuff, household stuff, clothing and toiletries, restaurant, hot cooked takeaway food to go, and bakery stand. There are also a lot of other stores in this shopping center for clothing, shoes, dry cleaning, coffee shop, jewelry, etc.

Der Migros City wie wir Zürcher das Einkaufszentrum an der Löwenstrasse nennen, ist Shopping-​Destination für tausende City– und Nicht-​City-​Menschen tagtäglich. Hier ist ein ständiges Ein-​und Ausgehen. Jung und Alt kreuzen sich hier, und ständig ist hier etwas los. Inmitten der City ist der Migros City ein beliebter Ort für die Erledigung verschiedener Dinge im Bereich Shopping.
Der Migros City vereint verschiedene Geschäfte, Restaurants sowie andere Dienstleistungen unter einem Dach. Im Untergeschoss befindet sich der Migros mit seinem Lebensmittelangebot. Dieser ist sehr gross, übersichtlich und verfügt über eine frische Fleisch– sowie Fischtheke. Im Erdgeschoss, also beim Eingang findet man verschiedene Geschäfte sowie den Take Away vom Migros. Hier strömen tausende von Menschen über die Mittagszeit hin und holen sich je nach Stärke des Magenknurrens ihren gewünschten Lunch ab. Heiss, kalt, Menü oder nur Sandwich, hier gibts alles. Dichtes Gedränge herrscht hier zwischen 12.00 und 13.30. In der 1. Etage gehts dann weiter mit verschiedenen Läden wir z.B. Ex Libris oder der Sun Store Apotheke. In der 2. Etage gibts weitere Geschäfte sowie die Kosmetik– und Modeabteilung von Migros. Von hier aus gelangt man mit dem Lift auch bis nach ganz unten zu den Lebensmitteln, und kann da seinen Einkauf weiterführen. Und auch in der 3. Etage gibts weitere Läden, den Billett-​Service von Migros sowie die Haushaltabteilung von Migros, welche per Lift auch wieder in die anderen Migros-​Bereiche führt. Und schlussendlich findet man ganz oben im Dachgeschoss das Migros-​Restaurant. Dieses ist super gut besucht und kocht wirklich sehr lecker und günstig. Einen Lunch über Mittag lohnt sich hier auf jeden Fall.
Ich mag den Migros City, weil hier alles miteinander vereint ist und man nicht noch gross in der Stadt rumspringen muss. Hier findet man fast alles für’s tägliche Leben, und die Grösse des Einkaufscenter’s ist angenehm.
Der Migros City ist nicht mehr ganz so jung und besticht durch eine Bauweise aus den frühen 80-​er Jahren. Alles ist hier etwas ins Alter gekommen, aber mich persönlich stört das nicht gross. Wichtig sind für mich die Läden im Migros-​City, und von diesen gibt es ziemlich viel gute. Ich mags hier.
Wer’s also eilig hat und nicht noch in der ganzen City rumspringen möchte, der sollte in den Migros City gehen. Hier findet man alles auf einen Schlag! Coole Sache!
