Lovely ambience, not so great food. Had their Fisherman’s Basket and half a dozen of Escargots. The fisherman basket comprise of sotong balls, calamari, battered fish, tempura prawns and oysters. This is the best food amongst all the other that we ordered, then again, how wrong can you go with fried food. The escargot was below average. We ordered 3 main course: Pork Ribs, Pork Chop and a ribeye steak. The pork chop was the most decent amongst them. The rest were disappointing, edible but for the price I would expect a little better food. The selling point of this establishment and the rest that are beside is the view. Lovely view and cooling to dine outdoors unless of course you head over during blazing hot afternoons. I searched online for quite a bit before I could locate their website and their menu. It’s if you would like to preview their menu before heading down. They have a couple of branches so make sure you are looking at the right menu. Parking is a pain. Limited lots and tons of hungry patrons. Stay zen and be prepared to wait a bit to get your parking lot. Would be tough to get here without a car unless of course via a cab.

It’s the first time we ventured to Punggol End. We have heard so much about this area from friends and family members and were keen to check it out. We got there at about 8 plus 9 so the crowd probably has died down quite a bit. There were a lot of families hanging around outside enjoying the view and breeze near the waterfront. Since we had a light dinner earlier, we chose Georges by the Bay, located on the second floor, to have some drinks. There were a few beers on tap but I chose the Mac Great White. Instead of ordering sides, we ended up ordering the BBQ ribs. It was a good choice since it was the same price as the escargot(and other stuff we were considering) which were a lot smaller in portions. The ribs were nice– it falls down nicely. We would have liked it more if it was more well marinated. We didn’t expect the food to be so good but it was. :) The ambiance is good. It’s quiet enough that nice for us to talk and enjoy the breeze. I do suspect that it can get noisy and crowded on days with some popular match– they do have the TV turned on to the sports channels.
