One can’t help but be attracted to the array of colours gleaming from Desigual located at VivoCity. This unique unisex apparel store originating from Spain features some really striking hues on abstract designs. It’s like walking into an art gallery or exhibition each time you step into Desigual. Although some designs like the floral blouses and dresses are really attractive, I am rather taken aback by the price tags. Nothing here costs less than $ 70, not even a simple women’s tee. I really applaud the store’s concept of innovative and fun fashion but nothing here appeals to me. Call me a boring person but some outfits at Desigual appear rather dowdy and loud. Even if I find something really pretty like a flowy blouse, the price of it($ 104) will force me to put the item back on the rack. Unless you’re really drawn to a certain design and have some extra cash to spare, Desigual might not exactly appeal to you.

Desigual is a Spanish clothing brand, grown big over the last decade. Desigual translates into not the same in English and that is just a really suiting name for this store. I want to support this store and contribute to Desigual vision’s of dressing humans not bodies and having a future in which all people dress different and unique. However the clothes don’t really match my style, because it’s too outgoing and the patterns are too busy. If I would be a lady, I would wear their happy dresses in spring time though. The clothes they sell are very happy and their ads are positive and fun. The clothes are also affordable. They should limit the number of desigual stores in Singapore though otherwise it defeats the purpose of being unique.
