Hei Sushi

Located at sembawang shopping centre, this place simply reminds you of sakae sushi, even the design and the logo looks pretty similar. It has a conveyor system that serves sushi or you can order from the menu.
Sushi variety is very limited and does not look appealing. Food does not look fresh and even if you order from the menu, the waiter or waitress might just take it from the conveyor belt, defeating the purpose of getting fresh dish. The soft shell crab tastes awful, there is a stale smell.
Price is similar to sakae sushi but the quality of food simply does not justify the price that you will have to pay. Even during peak hours, you might find the shop pretty empty. Service level is below average, waiter and waitress are not responsive and you might need to nudge them a bit.

As dinnertime drew near, I decided to try eating at a halal eatery called ‘Hei Sushi’. The food joint reflects an ambience depicting the Japanese culture with green as its signature colour. Since green signifies the colour of nature and freshness, it’s not surprising that the shop provides fresh sushi for consumer consumption. I queued up at the waiting line before being led to a table.
I was offered a menu and made some quick orders concerning rolls of seaweed over sticky rice stuffed with tuna, crab meat, roe and other seafood delicacies. As I waited for my meal to come, I saw other customers made somewhat similar orders. The place is littered with white tables and brown chairs where customers sat comfortably while eating the sushi dish of their choice. There was an unmistakable aroma of seaweed and seafood lingering in the air that made my empty tummy rumbled with anticipation.
As time progressed, my mouth watered until my food was served before me. The sushi lot on my plate looked enticing enough to be eaten, which I made my first bite on one of them. My eyes rolled up with ecstasy as the sushi freshness engulfed me starting from my mouth outwards. The superb taste simply overwhelmed me till I had to pause in collecting myself.
As the last trail of sushi slid down my throat deep within me, I looked on at the rest of the sushi lot and devoured like a crazed lion. A series of blissful feeling surrounded me after every bite till I shuddered at the end of my meal. As the food experience subsided, I found myself full to the brim and decided to get takeaways for my family. I knew for certain they were going to get a real kick from eating sushi from Hei Sushi!
