Some pretty good«meat bone tea» here at Olden Street Bak Kut Teh. The herbal soup is light but deep and flavorful with a nice balance of pepper and garlic. In addition, the meat is fall off the bone tender. Much joy to eat when dipped in some dark soy and sliced chili. You should also order some of the side dishes. I really liked the braised tau kee and tau pok but the preserved veg is pretty good too. The space looks newly renovated and was a comfortable spot for lunch even in the afternoon. Surprisingly it wasn’t crowded when we arrived for lunch but it filled up shortly after and for good reason. That soup really hits the spot but they have other dishes like braised pork that look real good too.
