If Ponggol Nasi Lemak were bae, Qi Ji’s nasi lemak would be my side bae. I’ve actually never heard of this chain before, but as I was walking around the basement looking for a place to eat, this place was buzzing so I figured something’s good here. A quick glance at everyone’s table gave me the impression that nasi lemak was the preferred dish. Everything on the menu is pretty affordable; you won’t find anything more than $ 7 here. There are a few choices for nasi lemak, and I went for #2: fried chicken, fried egg, sambal, otah, and ikan bilis. For $ 4.30 it was filling and I was quite happy. No frills, food came out quickly, it’s air conditioned, and it’s cheap. No reason not to come back!
