Sands Sky Park

I’ve lived in Singapore for several years and I frequent this establishment often. The view is beautiful and the atmosphere is generally good. Nevertheless what happened to us tonight was unforgivable.
We go here more or less every Friday night however what befell us tonight will stop me (and hopefully you) in my tracks.
There was a group of 10 of us (mixed) in the VIP/​Members area and we were minding our own business. The table next to us was causing a bit of a ruckus but as it didn’t affect us we didn’t really mind. until one of the boys walked over starred us down and then knocked our bottle off the table intentionally he was clearly a drunken idiot gunning for a fight. Though this was inexcusable we let it slide. However the management’s reaction I cannot let get away.
They just let him get away and go back to his table. There was a bouncer standing right next to us and saw the whole event unfold and yet nothing, no repercussions at all whatsoever.
Not only did they allow him to stay in the establishment, they defended him and permitted him to carry on being boisterous and unruly while he threatened us from afar.
It was the last thing I expected from an international brand in a country where I once perceived behavior to be fair and justly managed.
The bouncers response was that «They spent money and you spent money so I have given them a warning».
Don’t be fooled for all its glitz and glamour that might seduce an unwitting and well paying patron, they run by some rule that money counts for everything.
I (and my friends) felt threatened and unsafe at such an unruly establishment where they allow «Money to talk» in such a way that such behavior is acceptable. The guests where allowed to stay on and continue gesturing and threatening us for the rest of the night when we were just trying to enjoy an innocent Friday night out with friends.
I therefore beseech you to not patronage them with your support when they run such a unprofessional and unruly management of their clientele. As an international brand they should regulate and manage their crowd so that the majority of their patrons establish a safe and light hearted environment not an environment that festers animosity and un-​comfortableness.
For the premium they dictate that’s the least they can do.
Unfortunately they have lost themselves numerous well paying regulars (to the VP) that have held them in high regard until now. In a city that offers so much variety and options this has now become one that I would negatively endorse as there are so many more options that would not allow this kind of behavior to occur.

Want to see the coolest view of Singapore? Then this is the place because I doubt you’ll find a more luxurious location. It’s free to enter for hotel guests, but if not it’ll cost $ 23. Just Google Marina infinity pool and you’ll quickly see why people love coming here! For obvious reasons, try to visit during off hours since this is a popular tourist destination.

Ok, all the David Beckham ads convinced me. I needed to go here.
I particularly wanted to go in the Infinity pool, but alas, that is closed to the general public and you must be a hotel guest. Next time.
Otherwise the views were beautiful and this is a very romantic place. When I’m a hotel guest, I will swim in the infinity pool to my heart’s content.

C’est la vie — what a rip off. Never again. $ 38 to get up there for a «drink» included. What they don’t tell you is that restrict the type of drink. Really? Felt cheated. Got our money back and left.

Well, some say that there are places that have million dollar views. I can tell you exactly how much this view is and that is $ 23.00 Singapore Dollars. Okay, if the view could be considered a million dollars then I suspect you are getting a pretty decent discount, however since I am not in the business of determining how much a view is actually worth I probably cannot comment beyond that (and I must say that if it was any more than $ 23.00 I probably would have paid it — since it seems to be one of those ‘must do’ things in Singapore). The problem is that you only get access to the observation deck, so I was a little disappointed that I wasn’t able to sit down somewhere with a beer (though I probably needed to be a hotel guest or that. There is also a restaurant, but to say that it is not cheap is probably an understatement. I wasn’t even sure if they would let me up there just for a drink. Anyway, $ 23.00, a great view, and probably 15 minutes of entertainment — I’ll let you decide.

We came here for the national day parade for SG50! What a spectacular view we got! The atmosphere were beyond expectations. We even got amazing captures of the flybys of the Black Knights!
Customer service was beyond par. We lost a GoPro and one of the service crew (thanks Dennis!) spotted it and managed to safe keep it until we came back to recover it!

If you have a bucket list you might want to make room for this place. The Marina Bay Sands Sky and Marina Bay Sands Hotel are both a must do if you arrive in downtown Singapore.
The 15 minute walk from my hotel was well worth its weight in gold. I recall my entrance very well, mainly due to being overwhelmed by the appealing décor of the hotel and $ 23 entrance fee. This is in many ways different from America and uncommon but, so is the sky tower.
Venturing up in the elevator was reminiscent of taking off of a run way as we were levitated to main deck. Once we arrived it became very apparent that the $ 23 bucks at the entrance to the hotel was not a scam.
If you can imagine a magical palace in the sky with the best view money can buy, with hot babes in bikinis and endless fun then that sort of describes what I beheld. It was a celestial and festive all at once.
The infinity pool really did it for me! I literally went «Holy Shit», when I saw it and It literally hung off the side of the sky tower like a cliff overlooking an endless drop. The architecture of the tower was glamourously mesmerising and nothing like anything I’ve ever scene before. You get the immediate sense that economic standards here are high!
For a minute I thought I was in heaven because I’d never seen so many beautiful women floating in the sky. This is definitely the stuff you write home about however, unfortunately what happens in Singapore stays. It must, trust me!!!
The only bad news here was the drinks! Pricey, I’m talking $ 25 a pop for shots and $ 16 beers but who cares its Singapore. I ordered a bottle of Dalmore it set me back $ 250 bucks, it was well worth it and definitely the way to go.
In summation, soar your journey with confidence! Americans are very well accommodated here and everyone speaks English very well.

The view really is amazing. This place is ridiculous though. Plus it’s just so over the top. I wonder how the locals feel about it? LOL. That being said it’s crazy to see Singapore from waaaayyy up there. Snap your photos. See the super greens at night glowing like something from Avatar. The club has never been packed when I’ve been– more like people just nursing a drink and snapping photos on the deck. The infinity pool is for hotel guests only and ou better be sure you register to use the pool or no dice! I like the view and the concept.

A bit cheesy! Well the view is amazing but be carefull, if you go only for the view you pay 23dollars and if you go for the bar Cé la vie (Koodeta doesn’t exist anymore) and you will have the view also on the terrasse roof by paying only for your drink with 10dollars first price for soft.
So let’s enjoy the bar.
— No way to sit for less than 200dollars of table consumations.
— Better to come around 6 to have sunset and day view/​night view
— No short or flipflap shoes after 7 i think
— No way to go to the swimming pool if you are not hotel client.
So a good place to pass by, but the music is insane, and the place when you are not sitting is a bit stucky.

It is kind of hard to rate this. If you are into views, it is 5 stars. If you are not into overpriced sights that tourist must see, it will be a star or two. It is pricey but it is a tourist sight. No, you will not see the infinity pool unless you are staying at the hotel. You will almost the same spectacular sights of whole city. I am glad I did it. I am not sure if I would do it again. Skip the overpriced photo they try and sell you.

Great views across the city but at 23 $ sing then for a walk round, take a few photos then its expensive. Despite going on a Sunday when it wasn’t overly busy I still had people nudging me out the way in their desperation to take ‘the perfect picture’. I was quickly fed up. Gah, tourists ;-)
Plus, you can go to KuDeTa for drinks (cocktails about $ 24 sing, service bit rubbish) and catch the view without the entrance fee. If I was bring people to Singapore again, I’d skip the Sky Park and just make a reservation at Ku De Ta and spend my money on cocktails :-)

Loved it! I was worried they would be snooty about us getting a drink up here since we weren’t guests at the hotel. But they were actually really nice about it and chatted with us as we had a beer at the bar. The view really is spectacular, and I enjoyed the people watching too.

What an amazing view. You can see so much of Singapore from here. I was debating between going up to the sky park or riding in the wheel across the river. I am glad I chose this. It’s a good price and much higher than the wheel.
I only wish there was access to the restaurant. It would have been nice to sit down and enjoy the view with a meal or drink.

I just realised that the Sky Park is a general name for all the establishments that are on the roof of Marina Bay Sands — the observation deck, Ku De Ta, the famous infinity pool, and all other F&B establishments.
As a big group of family and friends were in town, I recently took them here for their obligatory visit to MBS. Ku De Ta wouldn’t let us in because we we weren’t in dress code, so we ended up at the Observation Deck. It wasn’t as lame as I thought it’d be.
The tourist-​y price of $ 23 gets you an opportunity to take one of those cheesy souvenir photos in front of a green screen*, and entrance to the Observation Deck. We were lucky to have great weather the evening we went– it was breezy and the night sky was clear.
The good thing about the Observation Deck is that it’s spacious and less crowded. I was surprised at how easy it was to take photos of the skyline or capture the perfect group shot. No need to deal with the crowds hovering around the edge taking their sweet time with their drinks so they can enjoy the view.
I’d still rather go to Ku De Ta for a more fun (and alcoholic) experience, but the Observation Deck might be a better bet if you have kids or photographers in your group.

This place blew my mind… I wasn’t staying at the resort so I couldn’t get up to the Infiniti pool but I was able to go to the observation deck and check out the magnificent view! Will definitely be back when I can

If you love looking at city lights during the night you should visit this place to just see the wonderful buildings lighting up the night sky. I have been to Singapore multiple times and still love going to this area.
It reminds me of something calm which is weird since most people love the deserted island feel when they go on vacation. Me I love the city.
Everything in Singapore cost money and maybe a little bit more than we expect since many people believe Asia is cheap but Singapore is not in that bracket. It is on it’s own and you can really feel it.

Great views of the city and the impressive and surreal space age modernity of the structures in gardens by the bay.
Even more spectacular is seeing the same views by visiting the club or lounge at KU DE TA at night.
Free entry and free drink for ladies at KU DE TA on Wed nights.
This is a must see spot in Singapore.

Warning: this is TOURIST TRAP. $ 23 for the view is not worth to be here. You can go to Sky Bar on floor 57, which is FREE ENTRANCE. You only pay $ 10 for drink. You can sit down for a while, enjoy the view and music. No crowned, and in the shade, keep u cool and take better picture than in sky park, since Sky bar is one floor higher than sky park. Have fun!

The Marina Bay Sands offers one of the most breathtaking views of the city, and it is especially breathtaking at night when the marina is lit up below on one side, and the Gardens are lit up on the other side. Whether you want to swim in one of the coolest and most recognizable infinity pools in the world, relax in one of the hot tubs, or just enjoy the views while sipping on a Singapore Sling, this place is one of the classiest to do it.
Yes, it is pricy (as are many things in Singapore), but after splitting the cost of a room with a few friends, it was worth it for the room, and nearly two days worth of swimming in the pool, and hanging out on top of the world. I can’t wait for another opportunity to go back.

Pretty neat place. My friends and I tried to get into Ku De Ta (the bar at the top) but we weren’t dressed well enough, so we decided to go to the Sky Park instead. Admission is about $ 23 I believe, which isn’t too bad compared to other similar to sky park places around the world (Eiffel Tower, Empire State, etc). The process going up is very much like the Empire State – they snap your photo with a green screen in the background, but here’s the difference. By the time you’ve taken the elevator up, they actually have your photo printed for you to buy. I think it cost $ 50 though. we thought we heard $ 15 but when we clarified they said $ 50 to us which is absolutely absurd.
Anyways, the view. We went a little before sunset and then just bummed around the top which was pretty typical. I’ve never seen so many people actually sitting at the top of one of these sky park things. The place is pretty spacious and the ground is wooden and it is pretty clean. You get a fantastic view of Singapore – from the Garden of the Bays and the Singapore Flyer on one side, and then the CBD on the other – it’s stunning. It’s great when you stay for sunset since you can watch the sun go down and the nightlife begin to wake up. There’s a small concession stand that sells some food and drinks if you get hungry as well. I would highly recommend to anyone though – it’s a great way to orient yourself to Singapore’s layout and the view is quite stunning.
tldr; awesome views of Singapore at a decent price, worth the visit!

Pour avoir une vue imprenable sur tout Singapour, aller boire un verre au bar de cet hôtel. La journée, pas de dress code, par contre, pas de tongs le soir.
Nous sommes personnellement juste monté pour profiter de la vue, sans entrer dans le bar.
Pas moyen d’aller à la piscine à débordement sans être client de l’hôtel par contre.

Tja, da sitzt man nun. Spitzenküche Singapur. Mein Chef hat hier jahrelang gelebt und er hat mich gewarnt: Ich finde es blöd, aber bekomme es selber heraus ! Nett gesagt. Ich würde es anders auf den Punkt bringen: Kulinarisch wirklich hochwertig, aber das Drumherum kann noch besser werden. Himmlische Zustände werden hier im 57. und obersten Stocke des Marina Bay Sands versprochen und höher hinaus geht es auch nicht, das Sky on 57 liegt neben dem Pool auf dem Riegel, der auf den drei Hoteltürmen des Sands in Singapur thront.
Einen Tisch am Fenster bekommen wir aber nicht, so dass dieser Effekt an uns vorbeigeht, schade. Stattdessen geht alles recht zackig, jedenfalls nach Massstäben europäischer Spitzenküche. Kaum sitzt man, schon kommen Speisen– und Weinkarten und ein paar Minuten später auch der Service zurück und fragt nach den Wünschen. Das geht mir hier alles etwas zu zügig, denn ich will ja einen schönen Slowfood-​Abend verleben. Und da lasse ich mir dann bei der Wahl auch gerne Zeit, denn schliesslich gibt es beim Diner einen Mindestverzehr von 100S$ (umgerechnet etwas mehr als 60, EUR pro Person). Nachdem die Würfel zum Essen gefallen waren drängelte der Service nach den Getränken. Um etwas Luft zu bekommen bestellte ich erst einmal einen trockenen Martini. Die Weinkarte ist brav und bringt einige gute bekannte Weine aus mitteleuropäischen Supermärkten auf den Tisch. Ein Cloudy Bay Shiraz oder Chardonnay (wie bestellt) sind gute Bekannte, aber nicht unbedingt Begleiter der Gourmetküche. So weiss man jedoch, was man hat. Für europäische Feinschmecker ebenfalls ungewöhnlich: Es gibt keinen Gruss aus der Küche.
Dafür geht es umso schneller mit der Vorspeise los und das freut dann jeden Geschmacksfreak: Vielleicht muss man für verschiedene Genüsse des Lebens ein bestimmtes Alter erreichen. Meine Vorliebe für Gänseleberterrine ist jedenfalls noch recht jung. Meine Foie Gras kam in vier Variationen: fruchtiges, feines Gelee, grob auf Minibaguette bäuerlich gewürzt; gebraten am Stück und in Terrinenform. Ein Gedicht in vier Strophen. Fruchtige, deftige und Röstnoten in den ganz unterschiedlichen Interpretationen der gleichen Basics, einfach hervorragend. Der Chef selber empfiehlt seine eigenen Komposition (ist ja klar): Die Gänseleber in Terrinenform schafft es noch in des Chefs Combo, daneben glänzen dann gebratene Austern, ein kaltes Spargelsüppchen und weissnichtmehr. Tolle Auswahl, sehr gelungen jedenfalls, was ich so sah. Toller Auftakt. Dem folgte dann ein (man höre und staune) ein Stück Schweinebraten lang gegart mit knuspriger Kruste, dazu Möhrenmus und Kartoffelstückchen mit Leckerkrönchen. Definitiv eine der besten Schweinekreationen, die ich je gegessen habe, Super. Muss auch sagen, dass das Schwein in Aufmachung und Interpretation das Wengyu-​Beef nebenan um Längen schlug. Auf dem Teller gegenüber nahm ein kanadischer Heilbutt sein letztes Bad in einer hellen Sauce mit Gemüse– und Kartoffelbeilage. Ab hier trennten sich die Wege der Begeisterten: Während Mann nur noch einen jungen Calvados der Gänseleber und dem Schwein widmete, legte das Gegenüber zunächst noch eine Sorbetkugel aufs minzaromatisierte Teegelee und dann beides zusammen auf die Zunge. herrlicher Genuss, auch dieser Teil.
Die Location lebt vom Ausblick, den man hat, oder eben nicht. Ich hatte ihn nicht und dann kann auch auffallen, dass das Sky on 57 nicht etwa ein heimelig leiser Platz zum Diner für zwei ist, sondern ein lautes Restaurant. Dazu kommen ein etwas zu schneller Service und ein Chef, der zwar immer ultrawichtig durch die Reihen läuft, aber an keinem Tisch hält um mal gediegen zu plaudern, schade eigentlich. Wie teuer ist Spitzenessen auf der Spitze des Spitzenhotels in Singapur denn nun? Also, mit einem Glas Wein, einem Apéritif und einem Digestif wird man bei zwei bis zweieinhalb Gängen schon umgerechnet 300, EUR los. Dafür erhält man aber auch tolles Essen, aber man sollte einen Platz am Fenster haben.

Nach dem Motto: ”Jawohl. So lob’ ich mir das oder Wow! Besser geht’s nicht!” schreibe ich den Beitrag für das schönste Restaurant (zumindest das ich bisher besucht habe) in Singapur.
Das Essen war sehr gut muss ich sagen– obwohl wegen der Lage (57. Stock des Marina Bay Sands das spektakulärste Gebäude in Singapur weit und breit!), Service und Küche, entsprechen hoch (und eksklusiv) ist.
Es war eigentlich nicht geplannt dass wir uns direkt nach dem Ankunft sofort ‘fancy essen’ gehen aber es war das Marina Bay Sand’ Schuld! Das Zimmer war noch nicht fertig (ja, wir kamen viel zu früh an!) und unser letzte (richtige) Mahlzeit lag in Nord Sumartra über 14 Stunden und ca. 700 Km zurück Deswegen war ich super froh dass wir zum Mittag einen Tisch bekommen haben und dadurch das Lunch Menu (a bit less expensive than the Dinner Card) geniessen könnten. 3 Gänge Lunch Menu beträgt über 30 Eur (vergleichen mit Hawker oder food court kostet eine Hauptgericht ab 3 Eur) fürs Abendessen soll man bereit über 100 Eur auszugeben ekslusiv Getränke.
Das Ambiente ist einfach toll das View noch atemberaubender!
Falls man nicht unbedingt das große Geld zum Essen hier ausgeben möchte, soll man vielleicht mal zum Cocktail hochfahren! Es lohnt sich!!!

Direkt nach dem Checkin im Marina Bay Sands Hotel sind wir zum Mittagessen in das Sky on 57 Restaurant gegangen. Das Restaurant, wie der Name schon sagt, ist im 57. Stock des Hotels und bieten einen tollen Blick auf die Stadt und das Meer.
Das Restaurant bietet eine feine Auswahl der franz.-asiatischen Küche.
Das Mittagsmenü umfaßte 3 Gänge (50 SGD ca. 30EUR). Zum Start einen Salat, als Hauptgang Fisch und hinterher noch ein schokoladiges Dessert.
Der Salat wurde auf einer Schiefertafel serviert und bildete den optisch und geschmacklich spektakulären Start. Der Fisch im Hauptgang war ebenfalls sehr gut.
Das Schokoladeneis war dann ein gelungener Abschluss.
Der Service war hier jederzeit sehr freundlich und kompetent.
Die Preise sind auf 5-​Sterne-​Hotel Niveau, das tolle Essen und der Blick entschädigt dafür aber.

Doing touristy things that tourists do brings me to Marina Bay Sands Sky Park.
The view is spectacular and one of the things I remember from my visit from Singapore. We stayed for the night light show too.
Ok to do it once for $ 20… as I will not be doing that again.

Singapur, Stadtstaat mit mehr als 5 Millionen Einwohnern. 4 Tage Stopover waren geplant.
Ein Abendessen im Marina Bay Sands musste sein.
Ich bin nicht der Gigantomanie verfallen, aber was die Architekten da hingestellt haben, ist schon mehr als beeindruckend.
Drei Hochhaustürme mit jeweils 55 Stockwerken bilden das Grundgerüst, auf dem ein riesiger, 340 m langer Riegel quer aufgelegt wurde, der in 191 m Höhe thront und mehrere Restaurants, sowie ein Schwimmbad beherbergt.

Der sogenannte ‘Infinity-​Pool’ hat optisch keine Begrenzung und so denkst Du als Schwimmer, bis an den Rand der Hochhaus-​Plattform schwimmen zu können. Ein wahrliches Erlebnis in schwindelnder Höhe.
Der ganze Komplex enthält ein Hotel mit 2500 Zimmern, ein Veranstaltungszentrum, sowie ein riesiges Casino mit 600 Spieltischen. Für den Bau gingen etwa 4,6 Milliarden Euronen über den Ladentisch.
Die Eröffnung war vor zwei Jahren und nachdem alle Anfangsquerelen bezüglich Bauverzögerungen, etc. bereinigt waren, scheint der Laden absolut zu brummen.
Die Asiaten sind dem Glücksspiel doch sehr zugeneigt. Aber nicht nur die
Das Sky on 57 ist das Gourmet-​Restaurant dieses Kommerztempels: Wir konnten nicht widerstehen, uns einen Tisch reservieren zu lassen, was uns aufgrund der Nachfrage nur über ortsansässige Beziehungen gelang.
Schon die Auffahrt, nachdem man sich angemeldet hat, ist nicht ohne. Der Lift katapultiert Dich in kürzester Zeit ins 57. Stockwerk und wenn Du aussteigst ist die Aussicht einfach überwältigend.

Die Millionenmetropole liegt Dir zu Füssen und auch das Meer, wo hunderte von Schiffen vor Anker liegen, sieht spektakulär aus.
Nur ein kleiner Eisenzaun hält Dich vermeintlich vom Abgrund fern.
Wir durften an einem Zweiertisch direkt am Fenster mit Blick auf die Stadt Platz nehmen.
Zur Vorspeise wählten wir einen Salat mit weissen Trüffeln. Klassisch gut.
Als Hauptgericht kam Angus-​Filet, das wir aus finanziellen Überlegungen einer japanischen Rinderrasse vorzogen ;). Perfekt auf den Punkt, zart nun ja, alles andere wäre enttäuschend gewesen.
Die Begleitung konnte sich die Petit Fours nicht verkneifen. Die Rückmeldung war positiv.
Hmm, der begleitende Wein, ein deutscher Riesling, schlug mit schlappen 21.- das Glas in die Brieftasche. Der Rote zum Rind war ein wenig ‘günstiger’.
Insgesamt ein spektakulärer Abend in einer Location, die man halt nicht an jeder Ecke findet.
