Swiss Butchery

I am so sad. This used to be one of my favourite places for burgers, when they were in Bukit Timah. I tried the Tanglin branch yesterday and it was quite a let-​down.
They no longer serve the burger that was so awesome (the classic one). In its place there is a far more extensive menu comprising pastas, steaks and such. The ambience is way better than Bukit Timah, but the food isn’t. It’s far worse.
It’s also very expensive for what it is: the rib-​eye was S$ 48, and it was cooked quite nicely but I didn’t think the qualify of the steak deserved to be in that price range (it tasted like a far inferior cut). The pesto spaghetti was really dry. The truffle fries didn’t taste much like truffle, and the wines were meh.
I hope they get their groove back!
