This place is awesome! The live music was great when I was there and the outdoor patio is awesome at night. I really enjoyed the duck and eel pizza.

Now this place is a cool experience with what I felt was the best cover request band I’ve ever experienced. The setting is looking at the Boat Quay waterfront which is cool. My girlfriend and I came here for a late night snack and beer after watching the incredible LKY musical at MBS. We ordered the peking duck pizza and I ordered one of the house lager beers while we listened to the cover band play many of your typical«request a song» establishments — Titanium, Just the Way You Are, etc. The pizza and beer were awesome and the vibe was extremely chill and casual. The setting had a mix of really young kids to older folks for a weekday night. Very cool spot that I’m sure will frequent again and again. Just don’t order their white sangria with chrysanthemum in it. That was pretty bad. Otherwise, cool spot for a chill night either with friends or a date.

Good food and a cool band, what more could you want! I really loved the duck pizza and it seemed to be a popular choice among the diners. The coffee margarita was also incredible, and it was the perfect cocktail for a jet lagged traveller that needed a little caffeine to make it through the night out!

Timbre on a Fri night is super crowded, so definitely make a reservation if you have a large group, and come on time! Our party had 8 people and we came at about 630pm. Duck pizza here is definitely my favorite. This time, we also tried the seafood pizza which had black pepper sauce. It is different from the usual tomato base seafood pizza, and I like it! We also ordered the Magarita pizza as the happy hour promo set came with 2 drinks. It was pretty decent too. The band came on at 930pm and they accepted SMS dedications which were displayed on the TV screens at the outdoor area. Pretty cool ;) The Mango frozen margarita was pretty good too! This place is great to chill on a Friday night with friends and some beer!

I’ve never been a fan of places that contain live bands. It’s too loud to hear any of my friends talk, and I don’t see the fun in sitting around to ‘soak in’ the music and atmosphere. Maybe I’m just not very musically inclined. Lalala. Timbre is almost always crowded during dinner times, even on weekdays. There’s iced water if you ask for it, though most times it’s quite hard to get the waiting staff’s attention. The pizzas are famous here, it’s good if you’re having big gatherings because everyone can share, and you can recollect the school days when who and who were in band. Check out for more pictures and reviews.

Timbre @ the Arts House is located right by the Singapore river, making it nicely ventilated by the natural breeze. Music, as always with most Timbre outlets, mainly comprises of live bands doing covers. The bands are usually more than competent. Food at Timber is awesome. Try the Peking Duck PIzza — it’s my favourite pizza to eat there. Happy hour makes drinking there a pleasant task, with your wallet being safe from bankruptcy. Go there for a long lost catch up with friends, and you’ll be more than happy. Be warned though, it can get crowded so making a reservation is much advised.

Timbre at Arts House definitely gives off a cool vibe, what with being right next to the Singapore River, but still away from all the hustle and bustle of the Clark Quay area. There are live bands regularly on Fridays and Saturdays, with some other rookie start-outs thrown in throughout the week if you’re interested! Both indoor and alfresco seating are available, but in this unpredictable weather, we were caught off guard when it started to rain halfway through the night. The staff were quick and efficient at whisking away our food on the table and dragging our seats under the tents — consequences of having a full house! But it was a nice save despite not being able to give us new seats indoors, at least our yummy food was not drenched! They are mostly famous for their duck pizza, which comes half covered in soft smoked duck, that rivals that of those served in hotels, and the other half with egg crisps that goes perfectly well with the smoky flavors over all. Definitely do give it a try, as it goes well with beer too! One of my top picks for a chill night out with friends.

Timbre has the perfect backdrop for a lovely night under the stars, although not directly under, and plays it up well too. The live performances were good and the same could be said of the service. We arrived during happy hour so it was less expensive and and the cocktails were not bad at all. There were the standard beers and cocktails, but my favourite part of the place was the food. Bar snacks aren’t usually very good around Singapore but Timbre’s pizza was the perfect accompaniment to the booze. There were also desserts like the banana crumble that was pretty tasty. It is rather pricey though, which would be quite a deterrence from frequent visits but is otherwise a wonderful setting for a night out.
