Bonham Strand

While on holiday in Hong Kong, I had a suit made at Bonham Strand. I have only previously bought off the rack or had one M2M by a traveling HK tailor. While other places in HK may be cheap and quick, the rule is always — you get what you pay for.
I couldn’t be happier with Bonham Strand. Prices are reasonable but does vary according to fabric, details, etc.
The staff are attentive and do their best to help you through the process.
Quality of the work is good with much attention paid to detail.
After three fittings, I couldn’t be happier with the end result. The suit is comfortable, fitted and exactly how I envisioned.
I will definitely be back for another one the next time I’m in Hong Kong.

One thing I learned from the exchange students is that they all leave Hong Kong with a tailor made suit. Trustfully, it is indeed much cheaper to have a decent tailor made suit in Hong Kong than elsewhere. Yes you may go to Shenzhen for a much cheaper one but the quality is definitely not guaranteed. For me, I have only owned two suits in my life. One I made as I just entered the university and I had to say that was an awful looking one that I threw away after wearing that once. The second one is for my graduation and job interviews and I made that here.
I am definitely rather clueless about suits. I mean, yes I know what looks good and what not but all those jargons seem to be a foreign language to me completely. You can easily see this place when you are on the Central slash mid-​levels escalator, and I have to say this place caught my attention as I was lining up to swipe my octopus card. There was a banner hanging outside and it seemed this place has got quite a few media coverage so I gave it a go.
The price range here differs but the cheapest one would be HKD$ 3600. Like I said I do not know much about suits so I basically put my faith on the staff there and I have to say they all are very attentive and the younger staff definitely is more informative and gave me nice ideas.
The suit took a month to be done so you would have to come by for the first and the second fitting. However, if you are in a hurry, they do have a fast pickup service but that might cost a few more hundreds. Anyway, I am rather pleased with the product and especially the service.
