Sure, there is an a la carte menu here, but the «private kitchen» experience really puts the chefs to the test. I had visited with a large group of friends with discerning tastes, so it was anyone’s guess how the experience would pan out.
Overall, the food was on point. The sashimi was fresh, grilled skewers were perfectly seasoned and cooked just right, and there was just enough variety to keep us interested throughout the meal.
But what impressed me most was the service. We were given a brief idea of what to expect in terms of courses, but our server paid special attention to food preferences and was able to make changes to our dining experience accordingly. Everyone was just friendly and attentive without being intrusive – which can be a very fine line considering the size of most restaurants in Hong Kong.
