The Japanese have a way with cleanliness– they seem to have this obsession with keeping everything pristine; this seems to apply in every area of their lives including their cars. Keepree Pro is Japanese brand that was brought over to Hong Kong a couple of years ago, their marketing gimmick being that they offer a «no-​touch» foam wash where by instead of strips of cloth turning on a roller, they have this huge foan sprayer that would «wash» or coat your car without so much as a fibre touching your car. This keeps it clean and avoid unintentional scratching by the rollers.
Does it work? Hell yes. If there was a place to watch a car wash this would be the place. The shop floor isn’t huge but in all honesty they keep it exceptionally clean, there is no clutter of any form in the working area and this is quite rare in Hong Kong. Moreover, they do stick to their world when it comes to giving the ultimate care not to scratch your vehicle, the foam system seems to work really well here. Judging from the other cars that were parked there waiting to be waxed (which by the way was also a miracle maker); this place must perform quite well. Aside from the machine itself, the meticulous attention they pay to every sill and corner in the vehicle is also a bonus point. Around 4 people work on your car in cleaning both the interior and drying the car. Brilliant.
What are the downsides? Its not cheap– 180 HKD for a complete wash is on the high side but given the part of the town its in (middle of Wanchai) I am willing to pay the premium for the location. Apart form that, queues are often quite long and that means you either keep doing circles around the block to wait for them to take your car (they do run out of space to take your car on).
If you are really into detailing your car then you might say you can do it yourself. But if you are in town and looking for a good clean wash of your car then look no further.
