Rock Gallery

Rock Gallery is an independent music and video store, with a huge collection of cd’s and dvd’s to choose from. It’s a surprise of a store located on the last floor of Tai Yau Plaza where I had never gone up to. It looks like any music and video store that you could find in a small side street anywhere else… but here!
Even though I wasn’t looking for anything in there, curiosity led me inside; from a bit of a distance I saw a CD with ‘Plácido Domingo’ on the side… Omg! I know he’s well known but it was so funny I spotted it across from the corridor! And they do have a lot of everything… especially there seems to be a big range of Hong Kong, China and Taiwan music and videos. Among the genres you can find there is rock and roll, jazz, Canto and Mando-​pop, K-​pop, blues, classical music, opera (Cantonese and Mandarin) and Western popular bands, TV shows and films (especially American). In fact, they have a shelf with ‘new arrivals’ at the entrance which by the way a little bit pricier, but the rest of the items are cheap.
I asked the guy if they were for sale only or if I could rent them as well. The answer is sale only, which is a shame because I can’t stock up on these things at home, no space. I would just buy that film DVD because I love it, and that’s it.
If you are looking for something a little especial, chances are that they have it there, but if they don’t you can also order through them.
