Warm Feeling House

It’s always a bit of a gamble going for a massage, especially if you are a guy (and read into that what you want!). There are also a lot of massage places around, of varying quality and price.
Warm Feeling House in LKF is a traditional Thai massage spa, that specialises in massage (as to be expected), ear candling, and lymphatic massage (yep, still don’t know what that is). It’s not the cheapest place in HK, a lot of the Chinese foot massage places offer body massage for less, at HKD290 for a 90min Thai massage, and HKD359 if you want them to add a bit of oil.
The massages themselves are not bad. They use very experienced older ladies, who really know how to crack and crick your bones into place. They can be a bit rough, and that is actually why I have stopped going there lately. I had a bit of a back problem (nothing for the chiropractor, just a niggle), and I thought a nice massage would help me out. Unfortunately, I think the dear old lady masseuse thought it was funny to see my writhe in pain, despite telling her to go easy. It could have been a bit of, «you’re a big boy, you can handle it», or perhaps she really thought she knew better. Unfortunately, she managed to aggravated the problem more.
If you do like a very firm, no holding back massage, then by all means give it a go. I have many friends who find the process of massage to be more of a blood sport, rather than a relax, so this is ideal for them.
The ambience there is very tranquil, and it is often quite quiet, so it is peaceful, and easy to get a walk in massage. The staff are very friendly and pleasant, albeit a bit too strong for my liking!
