On a rainy Saturday I needed to get out for a bit. So wandering around Stanley, the other establishments seemed too «stiff» so Saffron was the place for me — laid back and chill.
On to what I ate. I had a latte and a raisin scone. They sell Peet’s coffee here by the bag. So it’s safe to assume they brew Peets coffee. I love Peets coffee. Peets is a USA coffee shop and I definitely miss their coffee so this was a pleasant surprise! They also make the latte well priced at 35 $ for a single.
The raisin scone was $ 31 HKD and disappointing. Definitely did not enjoy it. It was hard and tasted over-​cooked. I let them warm it up so I guess that’s why it tastes bad. This was probably a fluke so I won’t hold it against them.
They also sell brunch, lunch, milkshakes, cakes, etc. it’s a good place for a meet up spot to catch up with old friends.
