Oh my goodness! Want high-quality home-cooked food at an incredibly good price? Go to the bar Greca and be prepared for a feast. From the aperitivos o entrantes such as tortillas de grelos or bonito en escabeche to the main dishes, you can’t go wrong. I do not eat meat, but those who do will love the chorizo and similar enchidos which are from the aldea. The owners are incredibly simpáticos and they alone are worth the trip out of central Coruña, which in summer is overrun with visiors(this small place is near the Palacio de la Opera and the Parque de Santa Margarita). The size and modest appearance should not deter the person looking for quality dining. There is a variety to choose from and the wine list also seems good. I never saw a menu — it was all recited from memory and the Medulio Galicia(mencía red) suggested by the owner. Trust them — they care about the quality of their food. It took us nearly 4 hours to get through the good food and conversation, along with the augardente or licor café which was generously offered. Note that speaking Galician probably helps, but is not a requirement Can’t wait to go back on next trip to Coruña. This is going to become a regular place for us.
