We travelled around a lot in Andalusië, but never experienced such a beautiful and relaxing experience as in Cortijo El Guarda. The Estate is an authentic 500 year farmhouse that is converted into a country accomodation. The owners used the highest standards of materials. Antique, doors, floors and furniture are mixed with design and the best in comfort options to give the relaxing experience. The beds, quilts and pillows for instance are from the well known brand swiss sense. You even get two pillows, a hard and a soft one. The owners welcome you with a drink and a quick tour. Because there are only 5 rooms on the estate, your privacy is guaranteed, but if you wish you can mingle with the other guest in a nice atmosphere. The garden is full of flowers and trees bearing fruits. Nearly every room has it’s own cosy terrace. The center of the cortijo is its huge cobbled courtyard, surroundedon four sides bij traditional whitewashed walls enhancing the feeling of intimacy and privacy. The swimming pool is just outside the courtyard where you find relaxing chairs. The friendly and very hospitable owners are the cherry on the cake for a wonderful week off. They are going to see me again, definitely.
