We need to start with the name; «Como en Casa». It actually means«our home is your home» and their philosophy is that you’re supposed to feel right at home when eating here. The décor of the restaurants is original, clever, fun, and inspiring. They have an outdoor patio which resembles the front porch of a small house. The first room inside aka the hallway is the actual bar. Further inside you have the kitchen, a kids playroom(filled with toys for kids!), livingroom and bedroom. Every room has it’s particular décor to really resemble a home and I truly love this kind of original thinking! The place however is small, you definitely need a reservation a couple of days in advance. In total there’s only a handful of tables, but add to that fact that it feels homey, warm, and inviting. The staff is super-friendly with being attentive, personal, accommodating and just the right amount of professionalism. We were seated in the«kitchen», which also had the serving window into the actual real kitchen so you could see meat being seared in flames on the grill, and the flavors coming out of there sure did wet my appetite. When they came with the menu the waitress also put a white photo frame on the table. At first I was confounded, but this was actually the wine-list — how creative! I ordered a nice glass of white wine, and then we started with two platters of garlic bread that came with a small salad and some reduction of balsamic. It was delish! Our kids had pizza and all of them were happy with their choices. My wife went with beef, this time perfectly cooked(apparently a rare occasion in Mallorca, most places couldn’t get their meat temperatures right), and her potato gratin was creamy and well-seasoned. There was a chimichurry to the beef and that too was packed with flavor. I had the chicken skewer that was charcoal grilled with a mind-blowing spice rub. It was also grilled to perfection. Cooked through and still both moist and translucent. Had a side-order of couscous salad that was recommended by the waitress. Excellent pairing. Unfortunately we couldn’t stay for dessert even though we wanted to, our daughter wasn’t feeling well so we had to make it back to the hotel and the doctor(turned out to be an ear inflammation). So to sum up, this place really lives up to its name«our home is your home». The food tastes really fresh and is delicately prepared. The whole place has a relaxed atmosphere, and you do feel right at home. Very nice restaurant, and I’d be more than happy to come back. Unfortunately your place was the last dinner stop before we had to get on a plane back to Sweden, but I did end it in a nice way at your home away from my home. As I’m sitting in my couch back home writing this I wish you the best of luck and keep it up!
