Este sitio lo hemos encontrado buscando en Unilocal y hemos acertado cien por cien. Hemos pedido las tapitas individuales como cocretas de jamón, de boletus, y erizo, todas etaban riquísimas. Además, hemos comido una hamburgesa de crema de boletus y foie que estaba espectacular. También hemos comido una ensalada de rúcula burrata y tomate muy refrescante y deliciosa. La tarta de queso estaba muy buena. Un sitio muy recomendable y con mucho encanto. Las frases de la pared son geniales… puntos extra porque la parte de arriba estaba muy bien refrigerada que con el calorazo que hacía en altea…

The best Tapas we has on the Costa Blanca.
Xef Pirata is a small tapas restaurant which is worth a visit to Altea (even though the town is quite lovely all by itself). It’s not your typical tapas, but carefully created works of art that explode with flavour in your mouth.
Service was friendly and they speak English which is good because my Spanish is shamefully bad.
It does get busy, we managed to get a table by turning up at 7:30 but it was the only one that wasn’t reserved — in fact it was but if we promised to be gone by 9:30pm we were told it was fine.
There are three outdoor tables which are on a quiet road. It may not have the views that some restaurants in Altea have but considering the quality of the food you shouldn’t really be complaining.

Amazing tapas, attentive staff, very resonable prices.

you will not be disaponted
you must make a reservation before your visit, very small place.

The best tapas I have tasted!
A small place with a few places inside.
The kitchen is also very small as well but it creates magic trough our whole dinner.
There are so many good tapas, but a must have is the one with smoked sardines, caramelized apple and Foie gras.
It so good that I hade to take one more when we had finished the dinner.
The small hamburgers are also a must, and the crochets with truffles.
We drank a nice sangria and very nice frozen margaritas.
Book in advance to be sure that you get a table.
