The weekend menu is suboptimal, the fideua has no trace o fish in it, the beans with pernil where bolied, not fried. On the second dish, the meat was just regular, the sausage havin being too much days in the fridge. Summary: very expensive for 20 € Oh, and they are slow.

El menú de 12+iva es muy completo, seguro que nadie se queda con hambre, el servicio muy correcto, con un par de camereros entrañables, quizás se podría mejorar un poco el sabor de los platos, y evitar el exceso de cocción. un 4 sobre 5

Great restaurant for traditional Catalan food! In the very cool town of Banyoles, and very close to its famously beautiful lake, Can Xabanet has elegantly clean white tabled modern art exposition-like tables while still at a reasonable price. All the options on the menu sounded so good that it was super hard to choose. The melon I ordered might be the best melon I’ve ever had, and the ice cream a friend ordered was quite good too. The staff is really friendly, and the general atmosphere is welcoming. Total find.

Can Xabanet, an elegant family restaurant, sits on a quiet corner in Banyoles. On the day after Christmas, our large group enjoyed the prix fixe menu. For our two vegetarians staff gladly provided an alternative to the typically meat-heavy menu. *Hello, Catalonia, there are these things called vegetables. They are not part of the pig. ;) Everything from the traditional canelons to the veal to the crema Catalana was delicious, and service was excellent! I hope to return one day.
