Carpe Diem

This place was fantastic!!! Despite its touristy rep. Which I try to stay away from on vacation. It was great. I had sampled some sushi from across Spain and the quality was good but not great except for here! It was awesome! The ambience was nice and calm similar to the Buddha bar in Paris… Dark romantic. With great music. My boyfriend and I being huge fish lovers decided to order in bulk, we got the 30 piece sushi. Which was great it originally came with four varieties of fish but we were able to mix the quantities to our liking. Aka 15 tuna and 15 salmon. IT MELTED IN OUR MOUTH. We then decided to order things separately I got a bowl of miso while my boyfriend got Chilean Sea bass cooked to perfection. All the while there were complimentary massages for us while we ate!!! If that’s not an awesome restaurant I don’t know what is!!! The massages are technically free but tips are apreciated between 10 – 20 dollars:) they were fantastic and I wish I had a place like this back home!!!

This place is absolutely gorgeous inside. The most beautiful restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. The Asian and Moroccan theme in Barcelona tickled me so much (I am Asian, Moroccan AND Spanish). Great location on the beach. The sangria is delicious and gets you feeling nice! The sushi is some of the best I’ve ever had. Love this place. Worth the price. Go early before the crowd starts and watch it full up with a «trendy» «hip» crowd as the DJ starts up. A highlight of my European vacation.

This is a truly awesome restaurant with a classy Mediterranean setting. The dance club and lounge is in the front and dining restaurant is set further back. It’s a great waterfront location. The foie gras, egg rolls are good. Tagine lamb, sushi sashimi platter, steak and duck dishes were all good. Wine list is exhaustive.
Party vibe, lively. Highly recommend.

My wife and I came here last night for dinner /​drinks. Miso soup was super salty. The fish was pretty fresh.
Service was pretty bad. Prices were ok. With all the fabulous places in Barcelona, you can give this place a Miss!

This lounge restaurant is pretty much one of the coolest venues I’ve been to in Barcelona. It’s hip and trendy to the max and is located right along the beach just steps away.
You walk downstairs into the restaurant and you’re immediately transported into another world. It morphs into a variety of feelings from exclusivity to romantic– this place just exudes luxury but in the most inviting way. Food is somewhat of a fusion between Asian/​Japanese cuisine and Mediterranean/​Arabic with your choice of either or. Staff is cutting edge– Hostess and waitresses are trendsetters and attractive. Two very sharp combinations that leave you wondering if you’re in a James Bond film.
While waiting for our meal, I noticed two of these bond girls massaging people at the table. This of course peaked our curiosity so we called them over to ask. Massages are about 5 – 10 minutes and they work on tips. Reasonable tip would most likely be anywhere from $ 10 euros and up depending how much you enjoyed your head, face and ear massage… LOL
Meals were excellent and we moved over to the lounge area afterwards where they had cleared up the area and had a DJ set up. It was house music and there was not much changing from there, which was my only setback. I would have enjoyed a little more variety but again the place has such a cool vibe I won’t dare knock a star off because of it.
This place is a definite must if you’re in Barcelona!

I like the location relative to the beach right on the board walk. I checked out another place before that was horrible and walked by carpe dime and saw it was busy. I also needed wifi and they had it when I decided to check it out and have a beer. It’s one of those wifi systems that makes you login with Facebook and like them… That should have been the first red flag. The waiter and staff was very nice and attentive. I asked to be seated inside because it started getting cold as the sun set and decided I would try a dish and decide if I was going to fine with my drinks. I asked for a miso soup. They brought out a big bowl with noodles inside and it had a very fishy taste. I literally had three spoons and asked the waiter for the check. I told him I didn’t care for the soup. He apologized and brought me the check which included the soup. I paid the check without a complaint… At least they take Amex. I would have expected «can recommend something else or we’ll take it off your check». Bottom line — -it’s a good place to have a drink — decent service obviously driven by bad management. The setting in nice next to the beach with the Asian theme consistent throughout.
