Very tasty tapas and their red wine was delicious! However, paella and sangria were disappointing. Sangria was too sweat and paella had a one tone flavor. For dessert — the cheesecake and crème brûlée were ok, nothing exciting. Décor was nice and the service was attentive.

I came on a night with the majority of inside tables available. Service was lacking and really rushed. I speak Spanish and English fluently and no matter what I spoke, answers were always short. When I asked for a glass of tap water, they gave me a glass of warm tap water. When I asked for a second glass with ice, they brought out a bottle of water. When I asked again to confirm, I was told they don’t provide customers with tap water. The two tables around me with customers received a bowl of bread after they placed their order; I was skipped, however. I ordered fried calamari, all I could taste was the oil that must’ve been old. Needless to say, there are plenty of options in the area, save yourself the trip and skip Corxus!

Great tapas places. We like both the ambience as well as the food. Please see photos for details

I liked Corxus! It’s about 5 minutes down the street from Mercat de Boqueria, so while the surroundings are still hopping, it’s not crazy busy like the immediate area around the public market. The sangria was cold, sweet and yummy! I ordered my two standard, basic tapas: tortilla de patatas(spanish omelet) and Gambas al ajilo(grilled garlic shrimp). Both were decent. I do like that there was free wifi offered(it’s glitchy if you are sitting at the side walks eating area). It’s a fun place!

It’s ok. The basic tapas were ok to average. We tried a paella which was adequate, but not great. Also had a seat looking into the kitchen and it was obvious they were overwhelmed at times. I watched them spill an order in the pass through and instead of tossing it they re-plated. I’m sure this happens all the time, but points off for doing it in front of a customer.
