By far the best food we found in Spain. Much of the restaurant is a cramped bar setting, so it may not be a good fit for larger parties.

Best tapas we had in BCN. Had the Pincho Moruno(lamb skewers) which were mouth-wateringly tender. Patatas Bravas were some of the best around. The spare ribs were falling-off the bone and had a really nice glaze on them. Stuffed squid was the only thing I didn’t like, it was a little tough texture wise and I didn’t care for the flavor. We liked this place so much we came here a second time and I had a few repet dishes but got the Oxtail this time which was braised and pressed with a little bean purée, nice and rich. Sit at the bar, order a clara(lighter beer w/soda), talk to your bartender, relax and enjoy.

I think this was our first«dinner» in Spain. I say«dinner» cause it was at around 5pm… way earlier than dinner should be had. Started it off with some sangria — which would be a constant theme in Barcelona. It was delicious. We shared a full pitcher — and was enough to fill our cups twice each. Patatas bravas — two sauces over fresh fried potato chunks… amazing. Croquetas — these ham filled beauties were so good. I had two and kind of wish I had more. Bomba — back home I call this a papa rellena. Mashed potatoes engulfing ground beef, rolled into a ball and fried. Really good. Spare ribs(costillas) — these were my favorite bite! While everything I mentioned is good to get… these are MUSTGET. They had like a honey glaze on them and fell off the bone! Since you can eat them with a fork, I didn’t lick my fingers… but I would’ve if I had to. Believe that. The wife had some fried eggplant(with honey). They were delicious and disgusting. I know… trust me, I was even more confused than you are reading this. They tasted like eggplant — but the consistency was like PORKBELLY… thus it made my THINK it was pork belly, without the flavor… I was all sorts of lost — so I just took another bite of my ribs and forgot about this dish altogether — leaving my wife puzzled — and alone on her quest to figure it out. A super nice, small, intimate spot to grab a bite in Barcelona. Also, DEMRIBS.

This was the best tapas place in Barcelona so far! Everything from service to food was amazing! We got the asparagus which was lightly fried and delicious! The lamb was also grilled to perfection and beef with chimichurri was mouth wateringly good. They had specials where we got the tuna and that was also just as good. After someone else recommended the bread pudding on here, I got that too and that did not disappoint! I would definitely go back here!

Amazing food, the best tapas in the El Borne District. Actually left another restaurant one evening to come back to this spot on our last night in Barcelona. Great food, Every item on the menu was memorable. The grilled octopus was fabulous. This would be my first stop on my next trip to Barcelona!

Holy cow. These guys know what they’re doing. Amazing food! Had the eggplant with honey and lime– which was amazing. The tuna special of the day which was maybe one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. The pork ribs with honey mustard was also amazing! And asparagus with romenesco and octopus specials were great too. All this phenomenal food– and 2 wines and 2 beers– was 61 euro. Will eat here every time I visit Barcelona for sure. Amazed(and super full).

Best tapas restaurant in our 8-day stay at Barcelona. Prices were very reasonable for the quality. Dishes were prepared with care and creativity. My fav was the bread pudding. Slightly fried on the outside, soft and spongy in the inside. One last thing to add. Best pan con tomate.

Tapas vom feinsten.

As close to a 5-star I can give, but a solid 4. I probably expected too much from the hype but for sure, this is a place to be seen, date-worthy and eye-candy all around, well at least tonite anyways. Popped in late around 11pm, and still humping busy; waited 5 min from the assuring eyes of the hostess, so took it after these glowing Unilocal reviews. Probably the décor got in the way of my judgement but still glad I partook in the following: bravas cava sangria and the clear-cut winner, Iberica pork ribs, the best honey-glazed & spices ever! so tender along the edges, bursting with juices. I wish I had ordered two but stay away from the octopus, way too moist(ironically) and the sauce just didn’t do it. Pulpo: lamb skewers, good, tender, the green mint yogurt dip but nothing special catalana for dessert: tastes like crème brûlée, super light as it’s whipped cream so in that sense, it was easy to eat. Probably wont need to order it again but if it’s a spanish dessert, sure why not, I can’t get this back home. And pretty tough to find in a way, as it’s in a cool neighbourhood off the main track, in the alleys with close to tight buildings. Kinda spooky at night coming off the cab at the main road walking in, as it’s quiet and semi-dark, but after 20 feet, the bustlin’ noise comes out like a night market ;) Only stammered in here by accident after an uneventful dessert at Bubo Bar.

Is this place worth the wait and sitting at the bar? YES! This was one of our favorite places to eat when we visited Spain. While there was a short 15 – 20 min wait, the time passed quickly as we ordered a cava sangria and got to drink on top of a barrel outside on the street. We mostly stuck with the usuals(croquettes, patatas bravas and the honey short ribs) but all of them were delicious. The ribs are definitely as good as everyone says and you definitely need to order them. After we left Barcelona we went in search of finding equally good ribs and every place fell short. We were dreaming of the ribs after we left. We tried both the cava and the wine sangria and definitely felt that the cava sangria was much better. The restaurant also takes credit card which is good because this place is definitely on the pricier side, especially compared with typical spanish pricing. But it’s so worth it!

Tapeo was one of my favorite places to eat in Barcelona, and lucky for us, it was super close too! We came here for our first dinner when we got into town. It was about 10:30PM on Sunday and the place was full. We grabbed the last table opened and were greeted immediately. My husband ordered a beer and I had their sangria. His beer was delicious(they have an awesome tap/nitro system here!) and the sangria was the best I had yet. They had a few specials written up on the board and we decided to order a few specials and a few of their regular menu items. We decided on: — Iberian ham croquette — Pincho Murono(lamb with mint yoghurt) — Bread with tomato — Grilled Pulpo(one of their specials) Everything we ordered was seriously amazing. It was truly one of the best meals we had while in Spain. The service was prompt and the prices were reasonable. We came back a few nights later and had the pulpo and pincho murono again. Definitely a spot to dine at when in Barcelona! I can’t wait to come back.

We sure did go out on a bang. This was our last meal in Barcelona, and it was a great way to end such a great trip. I set a reservation the day before so we wouldn’t have to stress about finding a seat – good call cuz the place was packed. Since it was our last meal in Spain, we went all out. No joke. On top of a few glasses of wine and some vermouth and beer, we ordered(and shared) the following… 2 Bombetas – 2 breaded and fried balls of Potato & Meat, topped with delicious Sauce. They were little bombs bursting with flavor. A must get. Lamb Skewers – Yo that meat was cooked to its most tender perfection. And then served with a Mint Yogurt sauce that just took it to another level. The seasoning on this entire dish was so on point, I can’t even. A must get. Iberico Ribs – If you see«Iberico» on any menu, you’re likely in for a treat. These were incredible and perhaps(PERHAPS!) my favorite dish of the night. The ribs were smothered in a sweet & sticky honey sauce and topped with fresh mustard. And the meat, oh the meat, it just fell right off the bones. A must get. Cannelloni Stuffed w/Roast Sausage & Wild Mushrooms – Wow. Just wow. The flavor and richness of this was wow. Pasta was perfect. Seasoning, again, perfect. Props to the chef. A must get. Oxtail w/Santa Pau Beans – Another rich dish. And very good. Meat was extremely tender, sauce was a touch sweet. But another hit for Tapeo. A must get. Bread w/Tomatoes – Super simple. Toasted bread w/tomato spread. Always good in Spain. Very good at Tapeo. Foam Crema Catalana – You better believe we left room for dessert. Or, better put, we were getting dessert NOMATTERWHAT. Thankfully this didn’t anchor us to our chairs. This dish was a great gastronomic effort, executed perfectly. The outside had that perfect crunch to break through to the foamy, smooth, light center. It was legit foam, but foam that packed a tasty punch. Another must get. Notice the trend? EVERYDISH was a MUSTGET. And the bill came out to like 60 Euros. That’s it. FORALLOFTHAT. Amazing meal and experience. Plus the service was really solid. Check it out when you’re in Barcelona. I will next time I’m here. Again.

We had planned on having our«fanciest» meal in Barcelona, and decided that Tapeo was as good a restaurant as any to try out on our very last night in Spain. Besides being in a super convenient location less than a 5 – 10 minute walk from where we were staying, it’s also directly across from El Xampanyet which makes it super easy to find as it’s in a main area in the Born neighborhood. Overall the meal was less expensive than we were expecting, which was a nice surprise as we felt like we ordered the majority of the menu items. In addition to a few glasses of wine, some vermouth and beer we also shared: + 2 Bombas — Not entirely sure what they were filled with, I’m pretty sure potatoes and maybe fish of some kind? But they were super flavorful and delicious. Definitely get 1 or 2 of these to share. + Lamb Skewers — Probably my favorite dish of the night. The mint yogurt sauce they paired with the lamb was excellent and the meat was cooked to perfection between rare and medium rare. + Oxtail — This was excellent, the braise was fantastic it was super tender and jam packed with flavor. My only criticism was that it was maybe a little bit on the sweet side for my tastes, but definitely something I’d order again. + Cannelloni stuffed w/Sausage + Mushroom — So umami in flavor. Rich, deep, creamy. Holy wow I did not expect pasta in Spain to be good, we even felt like it was a riskier order, but were beyond suprised/pleased by how well cooked and how much flavor they packed into the dish. + Iberico Ribs — Like bbq? Definitely get the Iberia ribs. They were well cooked(fall of the bone tender) and the sweet and sticky sauce reminded me of home, but with much higher quality pork. + Foam Crema Catalana — This was a fun surprise. For some reason reading«foam crema catalana wasn’t enough to tip me off on what this dish was gonna be like. For those of you folks who are really into gastronomy this is a really fun and simple dish. Flavors were on point but it was the perfect way to end a very filling meal as it was light as air. Loved that they bruleed the top too so it had a bit of crispiness to accompany the fluffy air bubble dessert. My biggest recommendation for this place would to be to try and book a reservation if you can. While they seemed to accommodate walk-ins, they were very busy and many people were quoted wait times of 30+ minutes.

This place truly is a fantastic find thanks to Unilocal! Everything we had was out of this world. My favorite dining experience while I have been in Barcelona and whenever I go back and the first place I will suggest will be this place. The food was incredible, the drinks were so tasty, you can watch the kitchen do their amazing job. This is what we ate in the order of what I liked the most all were so awesome though. To drink: Sangria de Cava we started with a ½ Liter and it was so tasty we ordered a full liter shortly after. To eat: Iberian pork ribs with honey and mustard, Sausage with wild mushrooms cannelloni, Bombeta de la Barcelona, Oxtail with Santa Pau beans, Moorish skewer lamb with mint yogurt, Stuffed squid with vegetables. Can’t wait to go back!

So many Tapas places to choose from. Unilocal helps. Wish I was the 100th review. I want to write a lot, but this place deserves a more to the point review. Here it is: Bar area, high top tables, back room with a ton of room. Setup is perfect and the service is direct or super friendly depending on who you get. The kitchen is in view and as you watch things get prepared it’s hard not to get pumped about your food coming. So here’s the bottom line. Every single thing we had was f-ing delicious. Period. I’m pretty positive I’ll revisit them a couple more times before I leave. Ordered and pictured: Sprout Salad with Parmesan cheese and fruit Asparagus tempura Dressed potatoes with salmon and wasabi(unbelievable) Iberian ribs with honey and mustard(soft and falling off the bone) Broken eggs with butifarra sausage Catalan cream foam Again– EVERYTHING was amazing.

This place is right across from el xampanyet but it was too busy and we wanted to sit down instead of squeezing into the bar area. Tapeo offers up seating at the bar or by twos along the side or one group table for about 6 – 8 people. It’s tight but more calm than across the street. That was about a 30 min wait on Friday at 1030 pm. There is an English menu and our server spoke perfect English. Drinks are cheap. 4 euro for glass of cava or sherry. 3 euro for any of the wine by the glasses on the board. 2.50 for bottled water and 7 euro for half litre of sangria. Dishes can range from 2 – 12 euros with most averaging 8 euros each. We ordered 6 dishes plus the toaster tomato bread which was so good plus 4 drinks and it was about 65 euros. Really liked the dressed potatoes with salmon and wasabi 7.50 — like the best potato salad ever. Ensaladilla with tuna belly 4.50 was a great deal for the tower of tuna and lovely wasabi sauce you get. The pincho moruni of lamb with mint sauce 5 euro was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Glazed cheek beef with potatoes 9 euros was soooo tender it melted in your mouth — one of the best braised cheek beefs I’ve ever had. Sautéed vegetables with mushrooms tasted like a good stir fry but overpriced at 7 euros — order something else. Service was fast and well paced. Our English speaking server was no nonsense but still pleasant as she was run off her feet. Great place near the Picasso museum.

Great Spanish tapas witty modern twist. This place has a great atmosphere and great cooking. The specials on the board were worth checking out. We had the grilled octopus which was so delicious. We also really enjoyed the patatas bravas that came out hot and in a really great sauce. The drinks were cheap. The dishes did end up on the pricier side of things. It can be very easy to keep ordering and add to a growing tab. Would rate this place as worth a small trek to check out.

No puedo destacar nada.

While walking around the Gothic Area after visiting the Picasso Museum trying to find a great restaurant and avoid tourist traps Unilocal lead me to Tapeo. I was most surprised by the quality of the food here along with the prices, a real value for such a quality product. With Sangria(which was pretty awesome), our bill was less than $ 50. Iberico Ham — Pretty standard but simultaneously delicious. The same prosciutto style ham that is found throughout the city. Iberico Pork Ribs — The tasty little riblets were fantastic. I really enjoyed the glaze on them. Beef Cheek — If you have tried short rib, beef cheek is very similar. In fact it may be hard to tell the difference for most. This was some fork tender beef that was slow cooked in a perfectly seasoned marinate. Catalan Cream — Catalan Cream is very similar to Crème Brûlée, they actually take a torch to theirs here making it even more like its toasted dessert cousin.

A really fantastic tapas joint. The prices vary wildly depending on which tapas you order, but at lunch with friends my partner and I spent 35 euros with a glass of Cava each. Since it’s a large menu, here’s some order highlights: Aubergines with honey and lime(5 euros) — Fantastic, large portion. Bombeta de la Barceloneta(2 euros) — Delicious, and my favorite overall. But it’s 2 euros for just one! Tomato with buffalo burrata(9 euros) — Stunningly good, but expensive. Free-range chicken legs with soya and ginger(8 euros) — Super tasty, good portion size. Ibérico pork ribs with honey and mustard(8 euros) — Yum yum yum(also, yum) Pro Tip: There’s a small dining area in the back where a group can hang out and chat without having to sit at the bar in the front.

:-) Reservierung empfohlen.
