Zim

Girlfriend & I made a trip to this area of the city to check the cheese store, Fromagteria La Seu, but the store owner said she was expecting a group to the little store so there was no room for us. Come back later, she said, or grab a drink (*and* some of her cheese) at the nearby Zim bar. (Turns out Zim bar is connected to the cheese store — a good arrangement!)
We decided on the drink & went next door to a tiny, cute bar manned by a slightly eccentric and hilarious bartender. We sat at the bar and got some great local white wine and a sampling of the cheeses from next door, and watched the activities in the bar and on the little street outside. A most enjoyable little visit!

Amazing. Very small and intimate with the gracious and friendly owner behind the bar. All products are incredible and local, including the bite size gratis snacks.
Can’t recommend enough.

Un local diminuto en la calle Daguería con una selección de vinos impresionante. Con la primera copa te sirven una pulguita de sobrasada caliente. También tienen quesos, embutidos y cosillas para picar.
Lo malo es que no hay espacio para sentarse a tomar nada con calma. Suele estar lleno hasta la bandera y hay que hacerse hueco en la barra a codazos para disfrutar del buen vino y alguna tapita rápida.

sehr kleine aber feine Bar mitten in der Altstadt, sehr nahe der Kathedrale. Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich und die Gäste kommen, so unser Eindruck, auch aus Barcelona selbst. Also nicht so eine klassische Touribar. Es gibt leckere Weine aus der Region und wirklich nur kleine Käse– oder Wurst-​Tapas. Schöné Musik runden das Bar-​Erlebnis dort ab. Wir empfehlen die Bar auf jeden Fall.

Tiny, tiny little wine bar on a great little street in the Barri Gotic. Nice selection of wines and tapas. Let the guy behind the counter pick something out for you — he’s very friendly and funny. Great stop before dinner.

So we’re waiting for a table and we see this bar…
Perfect.
It was small, quiet, served wine. Didn’t pretend to do anything else.
And I do mean *small* there are about 10 stools and room for 15 – 20 people, so don’t come raging in with all your friends from work.
But if you want a nice atmosphere, where it quiet enough to actually have a conversation, and drink some great wine, check this place out.
The owner (I forgot to write down his name) was very friendly, conversational, knew his stuff and knew how to run a decent bar.
