Ains, otro de esos sitios que podrían tener 5 estrellas, pero que el servicio casi se lo niega. Empezamos en este bar nuestra particular ruta de tapas por Cádiz, buscando los bares más castizos de la zona. Este apareció en nuestro camino, y tras ver los carteles que anunciaban cositas buenas, llevé a mi particular grupo de guiris a probar unas buenas tapas.
Lo primero que pedimos fue una sangría, queríamos o bien una jarra grande para compartir, o bien vasos pequeños (pues empezaba nuestra ruta y no queríamos terminarla en malas condiciones), pero hicieron oidos sordos y nos pusieron jarras llenas hasta arriba.
Lo segundo es que pedimos dos platos de surtido de ibéricos. No me mal interpretéis, los embutidos riquísimos, pero el precio… la cuestión es que había una oferta por 10 € el mismo plato con 2 cervezas, y el plato sin cervezas nos costó 12 €, es decir, 4 cervezas menos y 4 € más. Le pregunté al camarero que por qué era ese precio y nos dijo que teníamos que haber pedido específicamente la oferta (a pesar de que era el mismo plato).
Salí muy indignado del local, pero la comida es buena, aunque el precio y la atención no fueron las mejores, por ello me quedo en modestas 3 estrellas.

Ferried across the Bay of Cadiz recently to meet with friends driving up from Vejer de la Frontera. Ate here at the spur of the moment and what original dishes! We tried the Fuente de Huevos Rotos, a combination that had on a big platter plate thick-​sliced fries on the bottom, cover with strips of spansh-​style fried eggs (the spanish crack an egg into a small pan filled with oil, and splash the hot oil onto the sunny-​side of the egg — they don’t flip it), and covered with slices of jamon. wow, what a great plate (12.50 €) and easily a great snack for the three of us! Then ordered a racion (full serving) of Pavia (7.50 €), and had between the three of us three beers, two tinto de veranos and total cost was under 30 €! Easily located along the big busy avenida in front of the harbor area so as in my case waiting for the ferry, very well located for quick fast access to the ferry terminal in a few minutes. Counter/​bar seating only. no outside seating and only street parking available. Just a tiny green door in a very short block but I was admiring a framed panoramic aerial image of Cadiz showing practically the whole Bay of Cadiz also ;) Image of place is from google maps’ street view
