At first I though I was walking into some tourist trap joint in Cambados. This place is located just off the main drag in between a ton of similar places. It’s hard to make a choice but I’m extremely glad we ended up picking this place. For our first Galacian meal, expectations were high. We only had a few things… octopus, roasted padrón peppers, and a salad… and EVERYTHING was amazing. The simplest thing was so good, I couldn’t believe it… even the bread hat came with the meal! We had tried a similar octopus dish in Madrid and was extremely disappointed by it. The Galician version however was spot on. Great texture, and the right spices. The mixed salad was also very unique. It came with fat slices of juicy tomatoes, onions, olives, tuna and melon, all topped with a balsamic vinaigrette. In another world, there’s no way all those things would go together well in a salad. But here, they did. If you want the good Galician food, come here.
