El Polesu

Muy recomendable! Cenamos estupendamente Las dos veces que hemos estado. La tabla de quesos es excelente, calamares, croquetas de jamón, revuelto de setas y jamón, patatas semáforo (tres salsas: alioli, brava y cabrales)… Todo buenísimo y los camareros muy simpáticos.
Todo el local es muy acogedor, tanto la terraza como el bar y el comedor (es un llagar reconvertido).
Si queréis comer en un sitio típico con raciones grandes, buenas y baratas (unos 10 € por persona) «El Polesu» es el mejor sitio de Cangas.

¿Que decir de este fantástico sitio?
Sidra muy buena y raciones en abundancia, precios bastante baratos ya que sales a poco más de 10 € por cabeza.
Muy recomendable entrar a ver el Llagar antiguo que tienen al final del restaurante.
Los camareros muy amables y todo el rato sirviéndote sidra.
Si es verdad que nosotros hemos estado en Semana Santa y estaba a reventar pero el tiempo de espera de las raciones bastante bueno y siempre se lleva mejor acompañando con unos culines de sidras.

En una de las callecinas cercanas al Ayuntamiento se encuentra el Polesu, una sidrería donde no tienen grifo de cerveza.
No dudes en pedir sidra para beber, un camarero estará siempre atento a echar los culines que precises, pues has de saber, que la sidra sabe riquísima si está bien escanciada. ¿Qué mejor por un profesional, pues?
Tiene terracina, bar-​comedor, y un comedor interior muy pintoresco.
Os recomiendo la ración de carne guisada. Riquísima.

Earthy and authentic, big portions and reasonable prices. I would recommend the croquetas de queso as well as the chorizo de sidra. Also as a side note, the bread is amazing… All in a very recommendable place…

This sidrería was a golden find on our first night in Cangas de Onís. Sometimes it pays to be lucky. Everything about this experience was impeccable.
First off, don’t sit out front, no matter how nice the night is. Don’t sit in the bar area, not even if your favorite football team is playing on the TV. Instead, go sit in the cellar room in the back. You’ll be seated between giant sidra caskets, with an ancient giant apple press in the middle of the room. The setting is just amazing.
Secondly, the food… I don’t think you can go wrong here. The Picos region is known for its cheeses, and the cheese plate here was spectacular. Try the local cabrales if you’re a moldy cheese fan. It doesn’t get any moldier than this.
Thirdly, the service. I think they only put the best servers in the back. These guys don’t kid around when it comes to pouring sidra. It’s a fantastic thing to watch. They will only pour just a mouthful at a time, and hand you the glass directly. They never set it on the table. They are friendly, jovial, and extremely attentive.
If you’re ever passing thru Cangas, stay off the main drag and stop into this place for a dining experience.
