Verduras Frescas sells an amazingly priced array of fruits and vegetables. The peaches and cherries were some of the freshest I was able to find at various shops in the area. Shopping at Verduras Frescas quickly became a part of my breakfast ritual — I would get two peaches — one for breakfast in the morning and one for a snack in the afternoon, and sometimes a medio kilo of firm, juicy cherries. There were also some very unusual tropical-looking fruits, indigenous to Valencia. Although I did not purchase any(they were a little expensive), the shopkeeper assured me that they were fresh and of top-notch quality. Of the various verdulerías I had visited, Verduras Frescas appeared to have the best selection and quality in the area. It was a fantastic find and I will be sure to visit their other outposts while living in Northern Spain.
