So delicious! When you want to save the bustle of Old Town for the evening, this is a perfect getaway. An exquisite little European café/bar/restaurant that transports you even further into a dreamlike revelerie. The place is light and airy with an eclectic mix of garden seating outside and cozy pillowed rooms inside, you can pick your corner of this paradise. This is a place I would come back if only for the atmosphere, but the food is delicious, fresh, and unique as well. My breakfast was a morning glory and zumo naranja(orange juice) — freshly squeezed of course. They have other vegetable and fruit juices as well they can make for you. Breakfast is until noon/12 I believe, a bit later than the 11:30 of other cafes I have seen. Beware, when you first come to San Sebastian, you will want to do nothing but eat!(And if it is warmer, water sports). ;) Welcome to the most delicious part of Spain. I’m just desperate to stay here forever now. 2nd Ph.D. at Basque Country University? I think so. Oh, and my yogurt with granola and fruit(so delicious and fresh) and good-sized quantity of orange juice(which they put a cube of ice in and a straw — how thoughtful!) was 8 euro. I thought it was a bit expensive, but every bit worth it. I feel this is a very unique addition to the area.

Very cosy San Francisco style. The patio is amazing. Perfect for a coffee with a cute donostiarra.

The service at Botanika was friendly and efficient. The tortilla was savory and better than many we had tried and as we became regulars for breakfast the proprietor was able to begin our cafes as we walked in. The seating area in the garden is amazing with orange trees, herbs, berries, and beautiful flowers. There is also a lovely solarium to sit and watch the day.
