Bodega Restaurante Charolais

After being in Spain for a week we finally found a great restaurant. We found it by accident, we we’re looking for an Italian restaurant. So glad we couldn’t find it!
The wait staff was amazing and they spoke English. The food was great. I ordered the Cod Loin, fresh, with a nice crisp on top. We also ordered the Iberian Pork, so tender it melted in your mouth.
We will be back before we return to America.

I have dined at Charolais for many years. The location close to the buzzing town square is ideal for either lunch or dinner. The theme of the restaurant is traditional and welcoming. The menu is varied with interesting specials frequently on offer. Service is of a high standard and on the rare occasion that I have not been satisfied with my meal, every effort was made to put things right. There is an excellent selection of wines with some great local regional examples not often found (but highly recommended).
The quality of the food is good without being sensational but certainly recommended. Specials are certainly worth considering. It is slightly more expensive than most local restaurants which makes this a once in a while restaurant for me but one I would recommend.

Cuando salimos a tomar algo en Fuengirola Charolais es uno de los lugares perfectos para empezar la noche.
El Restaurante es amplio, y dispone de tres zonas: el acceso, con algunas mesas altas en el centro y mesas más bajas a los lados, el salón del fondo, y un salón solo para uso de restaurante a mano izquierda.
Charolais se podría decir que es un lugar agradable para estar y para comer, decorado (a base de pasta, money, parné) en un estilo actual, sin cosas que te distraigan como cachivaches o elementos decorativos en exceso. Tienen una barra amplia a mano derecha y una cocina también amplia separada de la sala principal por un vidrio.
Los platos de la carta son muy elaborados y de mucha calidad, destacando el Txangurro, el Confit de pato al Pedro Ximenez con piñones, ciruelas y pasas, los patés y alguna que otra ensalada como los preferidos a mi gusto. El servicio es correcto, teniendo en cuenta que es un lugar que los fines de semana se llena.
El precio puede llegar a ser un poco elevado, todo depende si vas a picar algo o si vas a ponerte fino…, por ese motivo no le doy 4 estrellas y lo dejo valorado en 3.
