We were on oir way to the train station in the morning when we came across this place. It’s tucked away in the corner down an alley. I saw that they had egg dishes for breakfast(which is uncommon for a lot of these Spanish cities) and I’ve been dying for a good hearty protein-filled meal. We sat inside and both ordered the Lomo(pork filets) with 2 fried eggs which comes with bread and fries(of course… because they bread and fries is their filler here in spain), all this for € 6! This was probably one of the biggest breakfast for the value so far in Spain and was very delicious! Service was good, some servers speak english, or at least enough to get by helping us. They also accept credit cards here.

We would have missed this place completely had it not been for our hotel recommending it. As a matter of fact, I asked Unilocal to include it so people could know it was there! Ugarit is a simple café, open early for breakfast and then for light food through the afternoon. This isn’t a tapas/dinner spot. But breakfast is something they do and do well. The eggs were ridiculously fresh(though to be fair, the eggs I had in Spain were always good), the café con leche and chocolate caliente were delish and even the breakfast ham/bacon(which I don’t even eat meat by the way) was good. That’s saying a lot. This did not strike me as a touristy spot. Lots of locals were here the few times we stopped in. Plus, it’s always encouraging when the staff is friendly and accommodating. Big pluses.
