Terrible treatment. 2 tables in the restaurant with customers otherwise empty and they refused to seat us because we didn’t have a reservation. Frankly the fish didn’t look that fresh. Suggest you avoid this sushi restaurant.

I spent a semester studying in Granada, and this was my favorite place! Everything there is delicious and fresh. It’s better than any Japanese food I’ve had back home in the States. I know it may seem weird to go to a Japanese restaurant if you are visiting Spain, and I highly recommend you try the local cuisine, as it is delicious too, but if you get tired of it, go here! Also, spend some time walking around before or after your meal. The Albayzín is a really neat area of Granada.

There are two restaurants: This one and one downtown. Because it doesn’t show up on the Unilocal map and because it’s the same place ill post my review here. This place isn’t the nice«Japanese zen style» and the food is not exactly fancy looking, but it’s delicious and the price isn’t too bad. The service is good and the deserts are good. I had the tempura vegetable and the sushi and it was one of the best ones i’ve had in granada.

If you’re looking for an alternative to Andalucian fare for a minute, Zakuro offers pretty good sushi. The setting is slightly upscale, but they seem pretty lax with their dress code. The service and the sushi quality was good and the location is slightly out of the tourist zone(next to the river, over the footbridge, very pretty). I had the small sushi combo(6 pieces of nigiri and 8 pieces of maki). Most notable of the set was a peices of incredibly fatty and flavorful tuna nigiri. The rest was just OK. Good wine selection.
