When entering this hotel that does not quite seem very spectacular from the outside, you feel taken back in time a few decades: plushy couches, patterned wall paper — therefore seeming a bit more suitable for people a few decades older than myself. Rooms are distributed among four floors, the upper floor rooms not having proper windows, but rooflights, which takes a bit of getting used to ist, but it’s acceptable. If you are lucky enough to get a room with a decent-sized bathroom, there is nothing really to complain about. The bathroom is fully equipped, including disposable shower cap and comb, and each room has two beds, a small desk, a closet with sliding doors and a TV set hanging above the bed. Besides spanisch programs, there are also some German ones, altough I personally did not test it. A laundry service is available if needed(for a little extra money of course). The only modern apect is the card-based access to the rooms, and I admit that I need to get used tp this a bit. Brealfast is served in a large room with long tables(buffet) is not by default included in the hotel price, but it is no problem telling this at the reception or even any personnel to be included in the overall bill so you can really decide spontaneously, which is then worth 8 Euro. There is plenty of choice, but except for the croissants, which were superb, the rest is not really outstanding. The juices had a bit of an artificial taste, the cereals(from Kellogs) were ok, but nothing really particularly special, a lot of sweet things, and scrambled egg with ham could have tasted a bit fresher. I admit this sounds quite negative now, but there sure is enough not get hungry for the next couple of hours. This hotel is particularly recommended if you need to work close to the university(UC3M), and the price level is acceptable.
