Im Celiac so stopped in for some food. Yum Yum. the place is small so get there early or you won’t be able to get a table. We grabbed our food and took off. Its all gluten Free. so anything goes. Anything.

Ok so let start off with the bad. Do not order the lasagna! It doesnt taste freshly made. It taste as if they bought it from a store in the freezer isle. In fact i found a piece of foil on my dish, so it is clear that they take it out the freezer and just put it in the microwave. After seeing the foil which confirmed what i thought i was put off and didnt want to finish it. For the dessert part i would give 5 stars. The gluten free desserts are really tasty and affordable. The service is ok, the people are friendly but take a long time to do simple things. For example i have been sitting here waiting for more than 10 minutes for someone to clear the lasagna. I wanted to order a coffee but now i wont have time. Also, the wi-​fi is terrible. My advice, only come for the desserts and take it to go!

Un lugar excelente ! Buen ambiente ! 100% gluten free ! Para desayunar, almorzar, tomar el té ! Coge lo que te guste y no lo que puedas comer pues todo es apto celiacos ! Es CELICIOSO !

Delicioso! Tengo dos familiares celiacos y decidí pasarme por allí para darles una sorpresa y comprarles cupcakes que pudieran comer. El local es muy cuqui y acogedor y en la vitrina parecía todo muy apetitoso. Los precios de los cupcakes no me parecieron excesivos (2’80 €) y eso que los productos para celiacos por norma general son más caros que el uranio empobrecido.
Me llevé una caja de 6; 2 de chocolate y crema de cacahuete, 1 de chocolate, 1 vegano de carrot cake, otro de carrot cake estandar y 1 red velvet, y no me arrepiento de la decisión, estaban todos buenísimos! Super frescos y esponjosos, dulces y nada pesados :)

I’ve tried 4 types of pastries here — all completely delicious. The service is a little inattentive and the ambience is not great. Next time, I would go for take-​away and bring it to one of Madrid’s many beautiful outdoor squares or parks.

Esta petado regularmente y el servicio de los/​las camareras es genial, rápidas, amables y eficientes. Me compre un café latte y un cheese cake y me fui a un parque a disfrutarlo, con el bien tiempo que hace me ha parecido lo mejor, disfrutar el pastelito sin tanto agobio.
Me ha dado mucho más emoción cuando después del check in recibí el mensajito con la promoción! Ayy q ilu, mañana mismo voy a disfrutarlo :)

Fabulous place a gluten free haven in a city of bread… cupcakes to die for… knowledgeable friendly staff especially the young man who served us, a real cupcake

This place is truly a gem! I have Celiac disease and get excited about gluten free items, even when they are not that good because I am frequently grateful to be able to eat anything at all. But this place is soooooooo good! Everything on the menu is GLUTEN FREE! But be mindful that besides some sandwiches and lasagna for some reason, this is primarily a dessert place. I have been there 3 times in the last 4 days. Moreover, it is not too pricey for what you get and the servers are so nice!
I loved the carrot cake cupcake. The Celicioso Cheesecake, which is cheesecake with raspberry sauce was delicious. And I also had the vanilla mascarpone cupcake which was good.
I intend to go back as many times as possible before I leave Spain!

Terminé sentado en una mesa de esta cafetería tras una tarde de paseo y compras. No, no soy celíaco y tampoco entendía muy bien el sentido de una pastelería sólo para gente con esta patología pero tuve que acabar reconociendo que el sitio era una maravilla.
Pedimos un par de cupcakes que estaban deliciosas, casi o más que el trato que los camareros dan a todos los que cruzan el arco de la puerta. El local está decorado de manera sencilla pero amable y esto hace que todo se vuelva aún más dulce si cabe. Eso sí, al igual que en sus pasteles, no hay nada en el establecimiento que nos pueda causar alergia porque todo está elegido con muy buen gusto.
Un sitio al que hay que volver, volver y volver (sin la frente marchita) para seguir disfrutando de su amplia carta de pasteles.

Gluten free bakeries are often subpar and I sometimes wonder if gluten free people will eat any mediocre thing because they are so starved for sweets. When I became gluten free I learned to bake myself because of all the mediocre bakeries and baked items out there. My test for a good gf bakery is would I serve this to friends who eat wheat and would they like it and not know they are eating gf? The answer here is yes. Celicioso is one of the best gluten free bakeries I have been to ever (in the cities of San Francisco, New York City, Beacon NY, Boston and Washington DC). I had 3 cupcakes here: one vegan chocolate with raspberry topping, one banana cupcake with mascarpone, and one vanilla cupcake with mascarpone and raspberry. All were very tasty, moist, excellent texture and perfectly sweet. My favorite was the vanilla marscarpone as I liked the flavor, texture, moistness combo. My second favorite was the banana though this was my sisters favorite cupcake. Sad to say as a chocolate lover that the chocolate was my least favorite but its not surprising given how hard it is to make vegan gluten free baked goods.
Im not a fan of most buttercream so loved the refined touch of marscarpone icing on the cakes. I had great coffee and teas (african rooibos). I would come here again as everything was very good plus they have sandwiches, cakes, pies and brownies to try which Im sure would be delicious too. I will come back the next time Im in Madrid.

This place exceeded my expectations. Not only did it have a great vibe but also it had great food.
Here’s my order: a cappuccino for 2 €, a sandwich for 3.9 € and a piece of cheesecake for 3.20 €.
The cappuccino was not only a great size but also very good. As for the sandwich, it felt like the healthiest sandwich I’ve had specially. I also liked the touch of olive oil that they used, I felt that it’s very original. As for the cheesecake it was very good considering it was not from New York.
The only thing was that the customer service lacked since we sat there waiting for someone to ask our order. Besides that it’s a must do.

Not delicious. While it’s WONDERFUL to get to go somewhere and order from an abundance of beautiful gluten free cupcakes and desserts, the flavor and texture left much to be desired. The line out the door clearly thought otherwise, but I’d say that the boxed goods from the Carrefour are far superior if you’re looking for a treat.

This place was ok at most. A total of 3 tables with 2 seats at each table. Really difficult if you want to sit down, relax and enjoy a cake and coffee.
Had the tiramisu and banoffee cake which tasted alright.
My recommendation: make your order to-​go and book it.

While visiting Madrid my friend took me here for a special treat ! It been a good while since my last cup cake as gluten free ones are kinda tricky to track down! We came there during the late afternoon so they been sold out of a few ones but still I never saw such a huge variety of gluten free cupcakes looking at me ! I felt like in a little heaven of cupcakes, cakes, cookies and no worries about my all allergies ! I already was amazed but the fact they offered 3 type of vegan ones totally made my day ! Me trying to be good decided only to go for one; the chocolate one and my friend ordered the peanut butter one but I shall return before my Madrid trip is over !
Overall super delicious tasting cupcakes, cute layout and friendly service !

Nos acercamos a Celicioso una tarde, doña Merche M y un servidor dentro de nuestro particular tour por las tartas de Zanahoria mundial, internacional e intergalactico, tras haber probado varias de sus tartas en algunos eventos y en locales amigos.
En nuestro caso pedimos varios cafés, con una torrija y una tarta de zanahoria, la primera de ellas pasable (entiendo que el hecho del gluten desmerece el conjunto) y la segunda muy rica (aunque sin entrar en el carrot-​olimpo) bastante bien de precio por cierto.
Como ya ha comentado e independientemente del resultado de la visita, Celicioso es uno de esos sitios donde debes ir una vez en tu vida, primero porque te sorprenderás de que la ausencia de gluten pueda no solo no afectar al conjunto sino mejorarlo (como hemos visto en varias de sus tartas), y por otro lado porque iniciativas así, deben contar con nuestro respaldo … leñe!

Esta todo muy bonito y los camareros muy majos. He echado a faltar un poco de pastelería tradicional y pan.

Tras probar su pastelería, puedo decir que están deliciosos sus pasteles, y lo más importante sientan genial, no te sientes lleno ni posterior mal estar tras un exceso culinario. Por fin un lugar donde comer con seguridad para los que presentan problemas de intolerancia alimentaria.

The staff is super friendly and the banana bread is delicious! They have a ton of options from cakes to cookies to breads and drinks all are gluten free and some vegan and or sugar free.

What is the fuss about this place? This one girl spoke zero English, so I couldn’t ask her a thing other than does anyone else speak English? I finished ordering the second girl standing next to her started talking in English — great — you work in hospitality and you don’t want to help your Co worker or customer out??? if you don’t like tourists, find a job where you don’t have to deal with tourists
The cupcake is okay — nothing special, kinda dry and the latte was normal — but the attitude left a sour taste in my mouth
Does Gluten free mean — mediocre?

We came in the biggest peek on Saturday afternoon. Not only all the sitting tables were taken, there was a line all the way outside of the shop. We knew right away, we are at the best address, where the best cupcakes are made. Although the line was very long, the staff was very friendly. I saw 7 people behind the counter all doing a fantastic job. We took a peanut butter cupcake with dark chocolate, hot chocolate with whip cream and a cappuccino. The order was absolutely delicious and I cant wait to come again for longer.

Yo no soy ni alérgica al gluten ni nada pero gracias a un eventaco Unilocalero llegó a mis manos un cupcake de Celicioso y no he parado de soñar con él desde ese momento.
Vale, soy una andaluza exagerada pero sí que me gustó mucho y un día, paseando de la mano de Hugo G. con un frío del demonio vimos que había una mesita libre en el salón. Allá que fuimos a coger calorías a base de cupcakes, tan buenísimos como los recordaba.
No son especialmente baratos pero, como dicen, una vez al año (o al mes) no hacen daño.
Además, nos tomamos un té historiado (verde con fresas y sabor a champagne) que sirven en tetera y que se puede compartir fácilmente entre dos personas. Es de agradecer la selección de cafés y tés, así como otros postres entre los que las tartas me llaman de vuelta a la calle Hortaleza.

I went to Madrid for a city break in the summer of 2014, we found this excellent gluten free café, I have to say it is the best I have ever been in for variety of cakes and sandwiches which are all gluten free. I especially enjoyed their Toastadas (Toast with oil and tomato) and their Banana bread, I have never found Gluten Free Banana bread in my life until I came here and thoroughly enjoyed it. If I am ever in Madrid again, I wouldn’t hesitate to come here. It is in a great location as well, located so close to the Gran Via Metro station.

This place is AMAZING! Seriously, Madrid was a great city to visit for the weekend but this place was my highlight! Cakes galore! An entire menu FULL of gluten free cakes, cupcakes, cheesecakes… plus hot chocolate with lactose free milk. Heavenly! The best part was, when I arrived I hadn’t had lunch and Celicioso sell sandwiches! I had a delicious toasted turkey sandwich which was perfection. The bread was delicious! I overindulged on sugar after my sandwich though.
The Black Velvet cake was, in my opinion, the winner. Deep dark chocolate, with icing the complements the flavours perfectly. The carrot cake was nice, though not what I was expecting. It was a very smooth texture, no nuts or seeds or anything in there to give it that usual carrot cake crunch but it had a really nice spice flavour to it. The chocolate extravaganza cupcake was good but it didn’t compete with the black velvet for real chocolate lovers! The banana bread and the carrot bread were also really delicious and would be a great addition to a nice cup of tea or coffee.
I was blown away by the menu at Celicioso though I’d love to see more savoury items on the menu and even some pastries! The store gets really busy so if you’re wanting to eat in be aware you may have to wait a while for a table.

I’ve been here every day since I’ve been in Madrid. The triple chocolate cake is delicious! So wonderful to have both gluten free and dairy free options! The staff are very kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend this treasure, even if you aren’t on a gluten free diet. I brought my family here and everyone enjoyed their pastries.

Presentación muy bonita (dan ganas de comerte todo lo que tienen) y cuidan mucho los detalles.
Además el hecho de que tengan cupcakes sin gluten es un plus; yo me pedí un cupcake de chocolate con crema de vainilla y una galleta de chocolate blanco y nueces.
De sabor bueno pero me esperaba un poco más… de todas maneras es un sitio que hay que probar!

Iba el otro día por hortaleza y vi la tienda, bueno la decoración preciosa, los cupcakes mm menuda presentación, además tienen cupcakes sin lactosa cosa que agradecí además de como su nombre indica sin gluten y veganos totalmente, bueno no solo tienen cupcakes pero es lo más destacable.
El trato por parte del personal también exquisito, yo cogi un cupcake sin lactosa de limón y merengue estaba bueno pero… no tanto como esperaba aunque lo recomiendo porque merece la pena pasarse por ahi y verlo

Muy buenas tartas, cupcakes, postres y cafes… sitio muy apropiado para una tarde de domingo de paseo por el centro de Madrid para tomar un café y un dulce. Los celiacos están de suerte para disfrutar del dulce sin perder un ápice de sabor.

To be honest, that sums it up perfectly, along with the words CAKE, SUGAR, BANOFFEE CAKE, SUGAR, RED VELVET CUPCAKE, CAKE!
I was visiting Madrid for a long weekend, and was so looking forward to all the delicious food. I am, however, gluten free and had a pre-​conceived notion that Spain is not particularly gluten-​free friendly. Bread is often the basis for tapas, bread baskets are still served aplenty, so I was planning on eating mainly rice. No biggie.
I also didn’t think I would find any cake, anywhere, to eat. So can you imagine my joy when Lolo R told me of a dedicated gluten-​free bakery in a very central and trendy part of the city? How could I refuse when he suggested cake for breakfast, and recommended the banoffee sponge cake with an americano? This much sugar for breakfast shouldn’t be legal, but you can put me in cuffs right now as that cake was so good I don’t care.
When I returned to Madrid a month later (because I love that city so much), I sought this place out myself for breakfast solo, and had a red velvet cupcake. It was delicious. Not as good as the banoffee cake, but when is a regular cupcake ever going to be as good as a sponge cake that’s interlaced with banana and weaves of silky caramel throughout it?
Celicoso is a dedicated gluten-​free bakery with all the offerings of a regular bakery: sugar cupcakes, tall sponge cakes, fruit loafs like banana bread and apple bread, cookies, shortbread… and I guarantee non-​gluten-​free folk (that’s people who can eat gluten) will love it just as much. It’s not just «tasty cakes within the gluten-​free variety» (we all know gluten free cakes aren’t always good). These are just delicious cakes full stop.
I plan to return to Madrid again, and I plan to come back here. Whether you’re gluten free or not, visit, try anything and be delighted. I just wish Edinburgh had a place like this.

I went to Celiciso today having seen the good reviews and I need to follow a Gluten Free diet.. Since going into Madrid, I have had terrible meal to terrible meal including food poisoning but my luck ended today.
I ordered a Gluten Free Cheese and Tomato Sandwich and I was delighted to find the muffin home made, the muffin was very crispy and the toppings were very nice.
I was also delighted that they made me a home made iced tea, it tasted a little watery but I still enjoyed the flavour with it not being Lemon which seems to be the only one I can find in Madrid.
I also ordered a Carrot Cupcake, it looked and tasted very nice, being Gluten Free, it was phenomenal. Non coeliac’s definitely would be unable to tell that the muffin or the cupcake was Gluten Free.
As I only speak English, It didn’t make communication hard as the staff spoke English and one of them written down the names and addresses of nearby restaurants with a Gluten Free menu, an amazing gesture!
The staff even give me a few free cookies and cakes along the way, and not just samples! I pledged my loyalty to this resturant, visiitng once or even twice every day of my holiday to Madrid and I will do the same again as finding a Gluten Free café or resturant with nice food or sweet treats in Madrid was really difficult and this place raises the barrier for them all.
I never thought I would have a experience as good as this in Madrid! Every Coeliac visiting Madrid must visit here!

TRE-​MEN-​DOS. He probado varios sabores de cupcakes ya y dulces de tiramisú de esta pastelería y no me ha decepcionado ninguno. Me parecen muy originales (un cupcake de zanahoria con decorado de cesped, simulando la hortaliza enterrada puede ser un ejemplo).
Y si encima hablamos de materia prima, además se puede decir que son aptos para celíacos, que si bien no tengo ninguna limitación con el gluten, creo que es una información importante para abarcar al público con intolerancia al gluten. Supongo que por este motivo también el precio es algo un poco superior al de otros sitios de cupcakes, sin tampoco ser una barbaridad (2,80 € por pastelito).
Los packs que tienen son ideales para un regalo, no llegar con las manos vacías a casa de amigos ¡o simplemente para montarte la fiesta en casa! También es un sitio agradable para sentarte y disfrutarlos en la cafetería que disponen.
Máxima puntuación además por el trato, siempre está a tope, pero tienen una atención amable. Debería ser un hecho, pero normalmente es algo que valoro por la ausencia que encuentro en otros sitios.

Conocía este sitio por la tarta que suelen traer a los eventos, que he de decir que es la tarta de plátano más rica que había probado.
Me pasé la semana pasada a comprar algo para el cumple de mi hermana (he de decir que no había llamado a reservar ni nada) y no tenían, así que cogí una selección «de todo un poco».
Primero, las chicas que lo atienden son muy majas, en el hilo musical estaba sonando una versión acústica chulísima de «Take on me» y nos sirvieron rápido.
¿Los precios?
Unos 4 € euros por pedazo de tarta, que a mí me pareció algo caro pero que quizás no lo sea. Cogí un pedazo de tarta de lima, otro de zanahoria, otra de chocolate y 2 muffins, y salió por unos 15 €.
La verdad es que todo estaba muy rico, quizás no tan espectacular como la de plátano, pero no decepionaban en absoluto.
Como no soy celíaco no comento nada al respecto, supongo que el simple hecho de que sea tan popular entre los no-​celíacos habla más que bien de ella.

Para los que puedan aducir que las redes sociales (esta en particular) no sirven para nada, ayer fui a Celicioso porque llevaba desde el último evento Unilocal sin borrar de mi memoria la tarta de plátano. A mí me sirve porque he descubierto un sitio donde hacen una repostería espectacular y a ellos les sirve porque han ganado un cliente, y es para esto, entre otras muchas cosas, para lo que se crearon este tipo de redes; si esto termina de ser ético fuera del paradigma capitalista lo discutimos otro día, yo por ahora estoy contento.
Cuando entré al local me sorprendieron dos cosas: la primera que tengan un montón de mesas para tomar café junto con sus especialidades porque pensaba que su negocio era el típico de mostrador para llevar y ganó varios puntos con esto; la segunda es que pensaba que no les quedaba la tarta Banoffee (la de plátano anteriormente mencionada) y casi me da un vuelco el corazón. Probablemente podría haberla sustituido por cualquier otra especialidad, pero yo quería mi droga. Y mi droga obtuve cuando las masas se apartaron de delante de mí y vi que no solo sí tenían, sino que había una entera. Como tampoco era cuestión de engordar dos kilos de un día para otro, al final optamos por coger una porción de esta y otra de la de zanahoria, y volvimos a flipar con la Banoffee y quedamos prendados de la de zanahoria. Me parece que sus productos son de los mejores de este tipo que he comido en muchísimo tiempo y no puedo contar las horas que quedan hasta que vuelva allí; de hecho no descarto hacer una locura y usar la promoción que regalaban con el check-​in una mañana de estas. Me confieso adicto a este sitio, amigos.

No tengo el placer de conocer el local en sí, pues lo descubrí por aquí concretamente leyendo la reseña de Lolo, y resulta que la compañera de piso de mi novio es amiga del dueño, por lo que suele llevar cupcakes a casa, y esta vez me trajo expresamente a mí.
Sólo puedo corroborar el hecho de que es imposible que notes que estás tomando algo sin gluten.
Deliciosos los dos que probé.
Sé que también tienen sin lactosa, que es otro gran problema para mucha gente (especialmente para los golosos).

Vayamos por partes. Lo primero, he de decir que yo no tengo problemas con el gluten. Pero sí conozco a dos celíacos y sé las dificultades por las que pasan cada vez que comen fuera, aunque por suerte esto está cambiando y cada vez más restaurantes tienen conciencia de lo que supone que haya una buena porción de la población que sufre celiaquía y ofrecen platos sin gluten (y unas cocinas en las que se preparan los productos teniéndolo muy en cuenta).
Así que, en realidad, me acerqué a Celicioso más por curiosidad que por otra cosa. Todo el mundo me ha hablado maravillas, y como no muchas veces he probado dulces sin gluten, necesitaba comprobar por mí mismo que lo que se decía era verdad.
Empezaré por el local: me encantó. Es un sitio tranquilo, con dos partes bien diferenciadas: una en la que puedes ver los productos, y comprar algunos platos preparados sin gluten (tipo lasaña, y cosas así) o dulces de todo tipo (tartas, cupcakes…) y otra en la que te puedes sentar alegremente a charlar (si vas acompañado), a leer (el sitio se presta bastante, es tranquilito y con una atmósfera propicia) o –porqué no– a trabajar un rato.
Luego está el personal, que es increíblemente atento y siempre sonriente (o por lo menos las dos personas con las que yo traté fueron así). Siempre se dirigieron a mí con una sonrisa, me explicaron sabores y demás y me trataron de lujo, pero de lujo de verdad. Así que no puedo hacer otra cosa que enviarles mis felicitaciones.
Por último, toca hablar de los productos. Son tan ricos, TAN TAN RICOS que no vas a notar ni la más mínima diferencia. Los cupcakes son probablemente los mejores que he probado, y no exagero, y las tartas son como para caerse de espaldas. He probado el cupcake de zanahoria, la tarta de queso y dulce de leche y la tarta red velvet y si tuviera que ir ahora mismo, no sabría qué comerme, porque todo estaba espectacular: fresco, cremoso, jugoso y tan, tan, tan «celicioso» que no podía dejar de comer.
Ahora la cuestión del millón: ¿es tan caro como los productos sin gluten del súper? No, en absoluto. De hecho, me resultó espectacularmente asequible.
A mi lista de favoritos pero ya.

Sowas sollte hier definitiv öfter geben.

Ich hatte einen Champagner-​Erdbeer-​Tee und einen Bananen-​MascRpone-​Cupcakes, definitiv zu empfehlen!
Ich komme auf jeden fall wieder.

Tengo tres sobrinas celiacas y hace algunos años me planteé seriamente abrir un negocio especializado en comida sin gluten: un lugar especial, agradable, con pasteles y panes ricos para celiacos y para todos. Finalmente, mi idea no pasó de eso pero parece que alguien me la robó… El caso es que recientemente abrió esta pastelería sin gluten en pleno centro madrileño, a dos pasos de la Gran Vía. Cuando abrió yo estaba en México, así que aún no la había visitado, aunque ya había oído hablar maravillas sobre ella. Hoy por fin he ido a Celicioso a merendar con mis sobrinas y el sitio no me ha decepcionado en absoluto, más bien al contrario. Todas las tartas que hemos probado eran deliciosas, mucho más ricas que muchas «con gluten», así que estoy seguro de que volveré pronto, sea con mis sobrinas celiacas o sin ellas, con amigos o incluso solo. Vale la pena.

Bakery sin gluten, así reza en la fachada de este nuevo local que acaba de abrir en Hortaleza.
Cafés, tes y algunas tartas y muffins de diferentes sabores, colores y olores, jeje. Además tienen pan de molde sin glutten y algunas otras especialidades que aun no he tomado.
El dependiente es majete, te explica al detalle la composición de cada una de las tartas y/​o panes (nos dio a probar pan de plátano). Compramos unas porciones de tarta de zanahoria, y una cheesecake con toffe. La primera estaba bien, aunque tenía una capa muy gruesa de recubrimiento, La segunda, la cheesecake estaba bien buena!
Por cierto, el dependiente habla inglés con bastante soltura, cosa que, no por mí, se agradece! Lo dicho, el chico muy simpático.
De precio está bien, las porciones sobre 3 euros cada una.
