This place was pretty good! We came for lunch one day and tried a four grilled cheese thing, expecting a sandwich, but instead it was literally four cheeses grilled with some sauces. It was so delicious! Totally unexpected and totally mouthwatering. We also tried a mushroom sandwich, which was just okay. It was a little too salty and bland for my taste, but then again maybe it’s because the cheese thing was so amazing it overshadowed anything that followed. The servers were also super friendly and nice!

We were in Madrid for our honeymoon earlier this month and got to this place on our first night. We wanted to try the authentic Spanish bar experience and totally got blown away. We arrived around dinner time — the place was packed. Not sure if it’s always this packed or if it was because we stumbled upon pride week. We ordered two drinks from the bar, € 6 each, and were provided two huge plates full of food. Mind you the € 6 drinks came in huge containers — #merican wonton noodle soup style! Note that this isn’t some fancy restaurant where they cared about presentation. It’s a bar. We were given free food. Delicious bar food. No complains here! The only reason why this is a 4 and not a 5 is because the drinks were a bit watered down. If I had ordered a beer instead, this would’ve been a total 5! So, yea, come, and have a blast!

We found this restaurant through reviews. We went there for lunch. It is a small place with indoor & outdoor seating. The waitress helped us choose the wine & tapas food. She definitely did a great job of having us try a variety of different food from a potato, meat & salad dishes. The wine she serve was also spot on. We liked it so much we went back for lunch the next day.

A quick walk from the Hotel Preciados where we stayed. We ate there twice for lunch; once with some friends and once just my wife and me. Both times, the food and service were top notch and we’d certainly go back again.

Had the famous Breton cheese dish and the Boar filled spring rolls. Both were very good, but the spring rolls were just FANTASTIC. I would most definitely go back and try everything on the menu. Fantastic out door seating, great staff, generous Gin & Tonics. Great casual tapas place!

Came here with a friend for lunch and though the place itself is small and doesn’t look like anything special on the outside or the inside, we were both very pleasantly surprised at how great our meal was. We shared the signature melted cheese plate and the goat cheese, bacon, and crispy onion tostada but replaced the bacon with chanterelle to make it vegetarian. Great meal all in all and very inexpensive! Highly recommend for a very casual lunch/dinner

Great little bar up the street from the Teatro Real(the opera) with delicious tapas and great atmosphere. Unassuming but authentic — a great way to finish an evening!

A nice little spot near our hotel. The tapas plates were humongous. We had the Bretòn: cheese, safron, balsamic reduction and sweet tomato marmelade… a must try — it won a prize in a tapas Contest! We also had the zucchini and meat tapas… beware! A lot more meat and cream than zucchini… but still very tasty. Service was ok.

It seems quite shocking that this place isn’t loaded with reviews from Unilocalers! A friend of mine asked me to try it with her saying it was all the rage on tripadvisor. We checked it out and weren’t disappointed. She made a reservation for 9:00pm, if you haven’t got one you might get lucky and snag a table though. The menu has a variety of what you might consider forward thinking Spanish cuisine. From salads, tostas, and a huge raciones menu you will have many options. We ordered the cheese salad and the most popular menu item melted cheese. My friend also tried one of the famed gin tonics. Everything was excellent. The service was spectacular, which is to say the least shocking in Spain. Definitely a must do while visiting Madrid.
