Mis amigos y yo cenamos unas dos millones de veces al mes en este sitio, ya que a la comida sencilla pero buenísima, se junta que nos tratan maravillosamente bien por ser asiduos. Creo que a excepción de una vez que cené sentado en la terraza, siempre hemos cenado de pie de picoteo. Se trata de un bar con solera típico del centro de Madrid, con algunas mesas dentro y terraza en verano. Muy recomendables las tostas surtidas de ahumados, las berenjenas fritas y las alcachofas a la plancha. Eso sí, al estar en un barrio muy turístico, los precios están un poquito inflados para sacarle los cuartos a los guiris.

Restaurante castizo por antonomasia. Los huevos rotos y la trucha son las especialidades. La comida es buena pero los precios pican bastante. Si aun así te animas, prueba las alcachofas a la plancha. Están de lujo!

Two of us came here late on a Sunday night for dinner and had no problems being seated outside. You do pay extra to be seated outside(on average 1.00 euro more per plate) — and you will notice that there are two different price columns on the menu. The people working there are really nice and are willing to suggest things on the menu. We started off with a cambembert tostada which was nothing special — probably a mistake on our part picking it. Although the Canapé Pâté de Bacalao was delicious and would definitely suggest it. For the main course, thanks to the waiter, we only ordered the vadiado de pescado — which is plenty for two people! It is an assortment of fried fish — very delicious — although not a plate accustomed for those who don’t want to clean their own fish. We also got fried eggplants(berenjenas) as a side, which were also very good. In addition to the food, we got one beer, one glass of wine, and two espressos. The bill came out to be 51 euros. All in all, an excellent place for dinner.
