We spent two nights here at the H10 Playa Meloneras Palace and stayed in one of the privilege rooms. We was greeted by a young lady from the privilege desk when we arrived, she was really pleasant and offered us a glass of cava whilst she was checking us in and showing and telling us all about the Resort. The location is at Meloneras Beach, which was a little further out than we would have liked and the whole resort was pretty quiet but it was a lovely walk down the promenade to Maspalomas which takes around 15 minutes and well worth the walk. All the privilege rooms are located on the 7th floor of the building, facing the ocean with great views, the bed was huge and the room was lovely though the bathroom was a bit dated and there was a few coffee stains on the sides and the outdoor table wasn’t clean. it was a nice room though but not sure if it was worth the extra money. The Pools are amazing with one huge pool with a pool bar-café and the one is an infinity pool which overlooks the Ocean which is beautiful. The whole resort is huge though with many lounges, restaurants, pool bars, loads of sun beds, and also a outdoor privilege area with its own sun beds, I wasn’t so sure about the indoor privilege room though i felt a bit enclosed in, and when we tried to go in at 8pm to watch one of the world cup games we was told it was closed? at 8pm??? seemed a bit stupid as there was no one in there and we was paying for it? Everything is mainly underneath the main dome of the H10 Resort it looks like a Gaudi creation with the beautiful tiled Dome which you can see all across the resort, Inside on the main top floor is the Reception and Piano Bar, and the floor below is the Gaudi Restaurant and the floor below that is the huge lounge area which is beautiful. With the privilege rooms you do get a choice of eating in the Gaudi Restaurant which was lovely but did feel like it could have been a better setting or maybe outside? The food there was lovely especially in the evenings though I’m not sure if i would eat at breakfast again as the Buffet breakfast did seem better. There is a huge dining room with holds a huge buffet for Breakfast Lunch and Dinner, all superb at all times with a lovely selection also with its own privilege section. Also with the privilege room you do get free use of the spa though not the massages etc. The entertainment at night is held in the big atrium building with a huge lounge area, We watched a great polynesian show where i even ended up on stage. The waiters also come around asking you what drinks you would like. One night i had a bottle of lemon juice from the mini bar and was charged 4 euros for it, for the price of a privilege room i would have thought this might have been deducted but it wasn’t. Service was a bit hit and miss at times though, At times it took forever to come and take our order for drinks in the lounge bars, and at the pool bar when we was having lunch it seemed to takes ages to get any notice, Also there never seemed to be anyone at the privilege desk, especially when we checking out there was no one there but most times it was excellent. All in all a superb hotel but i don’t think i would pay the extra for the privilege service again.
