Sioux City Western Theme Park

A fantastic day out and a bargain for the price. It’s about 20 euros and 30 with food added at the door (saving you a little in the bar).
For that price you are immersed in the American Wild West (Done better than the Americans) from the moment you get out the car.
The town is impressive itself, built as a «Real» town for Hollywood Westerns, the streets, buildings and interiors are stunning! There is a wonderful soundtrack playing at all times making you feel like your in your favourite western movie.
The staff are incredible, they live in character (each playing various roles) all day. They provide the gunfights, the stunts, the comedy, the singing and dancing, the lasso tricks, the knife throwing, the whip cracking (world record holder), the line dancing instruction, the bar brawls, cattle drives, the horsemanship and tricks. Plus on top of all that, they maintain the city, look after the animals including the Zoo area with some rare animals, but they are also the bar staff and the waiters /​waitresses whilst you all eat!
They are all friendly pleasant and fun making you feel like a friend more than a customer. We had a blast joking with them, riding horses, lassoing plastic bulls, getting into a quick draw gunfight, line dancing, locking each other in Jail, watching the shows, impressed by the many wild west skills they all show throughout the day and laughed ourselves silly at many points throughout!
We made our own mini western movies as we strolled around got some great photos, the staff again willing to help out with set pieces and playing the part.
We are still enjoying this experience a week later to be honest, i wish we never had to leave, i was like a 5 year old that had been pulled into their favourite movie and i am heading towards 40, get down there and let your inner child out and enjoy :) Don’t miss it!
I imagine this might be awkward for pushchairs and wheelchairs as many surfaces are sand or uneven wood but i am sure there are ways around it if you ask.

me and my boyfriend went there in January this year, for the during the day one, and it was so much fun, you can wander about for a while, then they put on all different kinds of shows, and had my boyfriend up on the stage doing the cancan. The food and drink was very reasonable in the place also, which was surprising.

Sioux City, ein tolles Erlebnis für Jung und Alt, eine Westernstadt einfach Original angelegt. Wenn die Show beginnt wird eine große Kuhherde durch die Mainstreet getrieben. Im Saloon spielt die Musik und der Messerwerfer ein Indianer tritt in Aktion und Can-​Can-​Tänzerinnen sorgen für Unterhaltung. Plötzlich eine Schießerei und die Bank wurde überfallen, der Sheriff nimmt sie fest und einer wird gehängt. Richtig wie im wilden Westen läuft alles hier ab.
Am Ausgang des Ortes liegt im Tal eine Indianersiedlung mit ihren Zelten. Auch eine Postkutsche gehört dazu. Was mich begeistert hat waren die hervorragenden Reiter und die schönen Pferde.
Hier kann man einen wundervollen Tag bei Aktion verbringen, meine Empfehlung für den Canyon del Aguila.
Der Eintritt kostet 16.- Euro oder am Freitag um 20. oo Uhr mit Barbecue 43.- Euro incl. Getränke.
Die Westernstadt ist mit öffentlichen Bussen erreichbar.
