The Village Inn is comprised of two parts; half is an Indian restaurant and the other half is an English pub, its quite random but it works. We went for the Indian food. I had been craving Indian food for a while and Spain has lots of it however i think this may be the only Indian restaurant on this side of Mijas. The restaurant is only open for dinner after 6:30pm. Its a pretty standard size for Mijas and we arrived at 6:30 and were the only ones there the whole time we ate. The menu is in English and in Spanish. There is an inside and outside dining area. The food: i would give it 3 stars, maybe less. Its pretty average. I am from LA and have had a lot of great Indian food and this was pretty average for a touristy area in Spain. The portion is small but the food was alright. My sister got the vegetable curry and i got tandoori chicken. The vegetable curry came out in a small bowl and was 7 euro. I got two pieces of chicken for a little more than 7 euro. You need to order rice on the side because the entrees do not come with it. We ordered garlic naan which was fine. There was loads of fresh garlic on it but it was nothing special. The regular naan was better in general. It was soft and fluffy and was a good compliment to the meal. The drinks we got were not very strong and serves in small glasses but they were cheap. The service was great: i would give it 4 stars. Maybe it was because we were the only ones there at that time but they were so nice. They were so attentive gracious and sweet. I love that they have free wifi for their guests. If you need to use the restroom you have to go to the bar on the other side but it is very clean. We got two glasses of summer wines, 2 house reds, a curry, chicken, side of rice and naan for around 35 euro. There are better places to eat in Mijas but if you want to take a break from English and Spanish tapas then i would give this place a try.
