Not to be missed!
Today after a morning visiting Montserrat we found this Gem in the Town of Monistrol. As soon as we sat down Veronica the hostess who was wonderful, smiley and most pleasant, brought us some olives and chips to munch on. She brought the menu and told us what the special of the day was, adding that if we wanted the molten cake for dessert it should be ordered in advance. This was by far the BEST restaurant we ate in Barcelona (3 weeks). The lunch menu is under 15 € and includes appetizer, main course, and dessert, included also a choice of red or white wine, delicious by the way and a bottle of two of water and free crusty bread that Monica replenished without asking. We Started with the delicious salad and goat cheese, grilled vegetables made to perfection. Two of us had the solomillo, one grilled salmon and one buttifara, all our main course we’re delicious and served as requested.
Now for the deserts, wow; the molten cake served with ice cream was just pure heaven, Crema Catalana smooth with a nice burnt sugar on top, the flan yummy and the almond tart with a touch of liqueur also very good. PLEASE do go and enjoy this little gem hidden on a side street. You will want to comeback.

En el pueblo de Monistroll, se encuentra este restaurante que vive del turismo de Montserrat, ofreciendo un menú del día a 19,90 euros con entrantes variados + un plato a elegir y postre incluido.
Es un lugar correcto. Creo que el valor del menú es algo menos, si no fuera un pueblo con Montserrat a unos pasos, podrían fijar el menú a 13 – 15 euros.
En los entrantes, el día que fui, en modo pica-​pica te ofrecen un surtido de patatas bravas, samosas y pincho de langostino + una mini hamburguesa. Todo en unidades y lo cierto es que está bastante bien. Nada espectacular, pero ya esperas algo así.
Los platos principales también bien. Siendo un lugar con decoración rustica e invitandote a pensar que estás comiendo comida tradicional, o al menos esa es la sensación que yo tengo cuando visito pequeños pueblos de montaña con calles y paredes empedradas, resulta desconcertante que en el menú combinen platos como somosa, paella, lasaña, hamburguesas o bravas… todo junto sabe a menú turístico y de paso le resta autenticidad al lugar. Aun así, todo es de una calidad aceptable.
Recomendable si pasas por alli? Yo creo que probaría suerte en otro lugar. No encuentro una razón por la que volver.
