Let’s start with the positives… This is a nice restaurant with lots of light and open space on the boarder of the Santa Catalina neighborhood. And the price for the lunch meal — € 8.50 — is very good and in line with the preset lunch menu tradition in Spain. But it’s exactly that — preset. You get to choose between two dishes per course. And that’s it. So between going gluten-fee, lactose-free or soy-free I decided to stay on the gluten-free path… The first course salad was nice. The second course spinach soup was also ok. But then I had the chopped tofu with cauliflower and rice because the other option would have been quiche with vegetables. That wasn’t really very nice… Somehow very plain and a bit mushy… And I noticed very quickly that my body really cannot handle soy! That’s of course not their fault but that’s the risk you take with a preset menu. There are no other options, no swapping things around. Either you get lucky and you like what they serve or you don’t… So overall the food is not super sophisticated but solid and home cooked. And service is quick and very efficient(maybe a little too efficient for my taste wanting to have a cozy lunch by myself… It was like bam, bam, bam… One course after the other…) During lunch time it gets really busy so make a reservation. I’d say go and try it out and decide for yourself if you want to go back…
