Tast Avenidas

Ein interessant konzipierter Laden dieser Kette, direkt am Innenstadt-​Ring gelegen; nicht allzu weit vom Hauptbahnhof. Der Service ist extrem herzlich und freundlich, die Tapas in der Vitrine eine Augenweide und wirklich fair im Preis.
Das Essen schmeckt, die Qualität ist beständig: Hier kann man gut hergehen.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Tast tonight. Food was delicious, service was friendly and it actually isn’t expensive. I see myself going back and recommending it for sure.

Premier dinner à Palma, autant dire qu’il fut long! Un peu perdu concernant le concept, nous nous attendions à recevoir des informations auprès des serveurs qui n’étaient apparement pas là pour ça. Au niveau de la cuisine, le jambon serrano était correct mais un peu gras, mais l’omelette aux gambas n’étaient vraiment pas à notre goût.

Visited Tast (Caller Unio location) at the recommendation of a local. I have been enjoying tapas and drink here and in Barcelona. The afternoon lunch crush had passed and no one was waiting at the bar. Get my drink order and I have all the patience in the world — but the servers were all passing by saying «wait just a little bit» for some time. Luckily you can grab prepared pinchos on the counter while you wait. Once our food and drink came, I enjoyed the octopus and the solomillo with foie. Perhaps the experience would be different if I were a local and could just call out my order. But as a visitor, the food wasn’t good enough to make me want to come back for the lack of service.

Hier gibt es leckere, ausgefallene, nicht ganz günstige Tapas in einem eleganten Ambiente.
Der Service ist schnell und freundlich.

There are two branches of Tast in Palma. This one and another on Calle Union which is my recommendation.
This place appears in lots of the guides on where to eat in Palma, and was recommended by the taxi driver who picked us up from the airport, with good reason. Nice vibe, tasty food and decent prices — what’s not to like.
If you have not reserved a table you will probably have to stand at the bar to eat or wait with a beer while a table becomes free (on Thursday at 2.30pm we waited for 10 minutes to get a table).
The menu is chalked up on blackboards but you can ask for a copy in English should you need it. The food is good but don’t expect fine dining or the cutting edge of the culinary arts.
The hot pinchos are the speciality of Tast and you will not go wrong if you stick to these along with the «minis». The crab, pork fillet, veal with roquefort and the oxtail with onion were all very good.
We spend a couple of very pleasant hours grazing the menu and drinking a bottle of the good value house wine. We left well satisfied with a full stomach and a wallet happy to be only 40 € lighter.

Unzählige Male schon vorbeigelaufen. Liegt einfach an der Unscheinbarkeit der Aussenansicht. Beim letzten Mallorca Besuch über Weihnachten mit knurrendem Magen hineingeflüchtet Und das war gut so. Trotz Hochbetrieb sehr freundliche, aufmerksame Kellner. Das Essen schmeckt super und hat ein hervorragendes Preis/​Leistungsverhältnis.
Also wir werden sicherlich wiederkommen.

Tried this tapas bar for lunch, as it had received such warm recommendations. The place seemed promising, and had an array of pintxos lined up on the bar, as well as an interesting menu. The actual food, however, was what the English would describe as «stodgy» — heavy, fatty and bland. We had a combination of warm tapas and pintxos, and they tasted mainly of deep-​frying (if they were fried) and mayonnaise. The cod also did not taste particularly fresh.
Tast seems to be relying upon a loyal clientele and solid reputation, as it was ontinually full during our visit, but the food on offer was bland and completely lacking in fresh flavours and creativity. The service was also slow and the waiters not particularly pleasant. Overall disappointing.

Tast is located right in the city centre, and offers a wide range of great tasting tapas and pintxos. Menus are available in a variety of languages, and the staff are friendly and if it’s your first time they are happy to help you get into the swing of the Tapas way.
Don’t limit yourself just to the menu — walk up to the bar and see what special creations are waiting to be picked up and brought to your table (on one visit, there were some awesome salmon pintxos which weren’t listed on the menu — and a bargain too!).

Wir kommen gerade vom Urlaub zurück, per Zufall fanden wir diese total leckere Tapas-​Bar: innovativ, kreativ, optisch sehr animierend. Der Service perfekt, das Brot mit Olivenöl und Tomaten als Beilage war extrem gut die Preise natürlich entsprechend der Qualität angemessen und absolut okay. Wir waren jedenfalls begeistert!

Haben während unseres Urlaubs in Palma mehrere Tapasbars besucht und waren von dieser hier total begeistert. Erstens: Das Essen schmeckt super-​super-​lecker. Zweitens: Die Tapas sind wirklich raffiniert und außergewöhnlich, für Fleischesser wie für Vegetarier. Drittens: Die unterschiedlich großen Portionen ermöglichen, dass man viel Verschiedenes kombinieren kann: Es gibt Mini– und normale Tapas, von denen man auch halbe Portionen bestellen kann, außerdem Salate in der Größe mini und normal. Nach unsererm Eindruck war es keine Touri-​Bude, sondern es waren auch viele Einheimische da. Das Essen ist für die Portionen nicht günstig, aber der Qualität durchaus angemessen.
Den Stern Abzug gibt’s leider für den Service: Der war zwar nett und schnell, aber ein bisschen verpeilt. Ein Getränk wurde vergessen, und auf der Rechnung tauchten Dinge auf, die wir nicht bestellt hatten. Allerdings mussten wir sie dann auch nicht bezahlen.
Insgesamt sehr sehr empfehlenswert!
Wir waren übrigens in der Filiale in der Av. Comte de Sallent.

Stark überteuert und mittelmäßig. Wir waren danach richtig frustriert. Wie kommt nur gute ruf und hohe Bekanntheitsgrad zustande? Es gibt mind. 2 filialen in Pal, ma wir waren in der um die Ecke vom Forn des Teatre im Febuar 2011 am frühen Abend. Hatten ca. 8 verschiedene Pinchos (Mini-​tapas/​Häppchen), die entweder ganz lecker, aber total überteuert waren (ein Haps für 3,50) oder –größtenteils– nicht schmeckten (z.b. trockener Fisch). es hätte noch sehr vieler «Hapse» bedurft, um auch nur den kleinen Hunger zu stillen. So haben wir in wenigen Minuten zu zweit fast 30EUR verhapst (inkl. Wasser) und gingen exakt mit dem gleichen Appetit wieder heraus, wie wir gekommen waren.
