Bar Mentidero

I was in Pamplona in the evening and saw this restaurant. It was completely packed and I figured it must be good so I ventured inside and got lucky getting some stools as some locals were leaving. The display of pinxtos was amazing. It had the most variety of all the small restaurants I had walked into. The bar staff was friendly and answered my questions on some items. Apparently Thursdays is a great night to go because of the food and drink deals. I got 3 pinxtos, glass of wine and bottled water for 6 € which was a pretty good deal. The establishment also has free wifi, just ask an employee for the password.

Es la tercera vez que vengo a este local con la esperanza de que hayan mejorado y otra vez me voy de mala leche.
Si este bar no funciona es por culpa de los camareros. Son lentos, desorganizados y con poco tacto en el cuidado de los alimentos.
Me explico, los pintxos tienen una pinta increíble en barra, pero no hay más que pedir uno para que te lo destrocen bañándotelo en aceite o calentándolo hasta que hierva.
Sin ir más lejos el jueves (día del Juevintxo) pedimos tres vinos, una croqueta, un pintxo de txaka con mayonesa y otro de patata. Metieron los tres al microondas durante 5 minutos (la mayonesa no se debe calentar porque se corta) hasta que les pedimos que los sacaran. Y después les echaron aceite por encima. Echan aceite a todo! A una croqueta! Que se ha freído en aceite!
En fin, me hierve la sangre con ellos.

This little restaurant is a great breakfast stop! Two coffees, a beer, and two large tapas for only 7.80 €. The service is great and they have a great table that is half inside and half out– perfect for enjoying your morning coffee and people watching.

My favorite breakfast spot in Pamplona. Great service. Delicious coffees. Really lovely tapas too.
My girlfriend and I had two coffees, a Spanish Tortilla, a little egg and ham sandwich tapa and a small beer…€ 7.80!
I went here every morning I was in Pamplona and spent most of the morning there as well.
