This place has been here forever and is part of the Bodega El Gato business. I remember years ago when the floor was still packed dirt. It’s a bodega bar which is growing more popular each year with locals and Rota visitors. In the late summer nights you can’t even get inside to the bar to order, it’s so packed with people. My favorite is langostinos a la plancha(large grilled shrimp) and filete(steak sandwich). Also good are the pinchito de pollo. The Tintilla is Rota’s namesake wine so try it. I believe it’s slightly sweet and thick. Rebujado is a mix of sweet moscotel and fino. If you really wanna pucker up, try the moscotel pasas. So sweet it’s like drinking liquid raisins! ;) Great place to have a quick snack. No street parking. Next to the main downtown plaza de las Canteras
