Based on Unilocal reviews I looked for this place for lunch. They do a 3 course daily menu with lots of options to chose from or else they have an a la carte menu as well. The restaurant is fitted out very nicely but they don’t have an outside seating area as it is away from the main promenade. The 3 course lunch comes in at 14Euro during the week, slightly more expensive on weekends. They also do have free wifi which was good as not one server spoke anything but Spanish. If you are an adventurous eater then that’s not a problem, if you have allergies then you better translate what’s on the menu. I went for a colourful salad as a starter, hake for my main and the waiter’s recommendation for dessert: cheesecake. The salad was nice with lots of different leaves and veggies in it. The hake was nicely cooked but the courgette it was served with was cold and the potatoes were more like crisps. Cold and crunchy potato shavings. The dessert was my least favourite course, the cheesecake was very dry and didn’t taste of anything really. The texture was very odd as if gelatine was added to it. Me no gusta. With a cortado and a glass of white wine my bill came to just over 17Euro which is too expensive for what it was.

This is a great option for a traveling vegetarian who is interested in getting a menu del dia(set menu). During a weekday, it’s about 13 Euros. We got a first course of a sort of layered grilled vegetable napoleon with pesto(it was called«lasagna» but no noodles), a second course of pasta with veggies(not amazing but better than nothing!) and a final course of dessert. This comes with wine, of course. Nice ambience, good service. They had other veggie options, too — and fair trade/organic ingredients in some plates. Basically, a great spot if you want to enjoy a menu del dia with your travel companions rather than being«that» guy who can’t join in :)

Delicioso! Oh thank you, organic goddes for having this place. I think it was my first actual meal in Spain. They have organic beef, fish that they get fresh every morning from a market, and a really delicious-looking salad that I want to get next time that had quinoa and dried fruit(the energizer salad). Ordering was a little confusing, but that is only because I skipped the lesson on how to ask for a table and be seated in Spanish. Anyway, I managed. It is such a beautiful restaurant with lots of delicious dishes. I ordered some fish and it came with avocado and zucchini, and the water came in a glass bottle. This will be my go-to place for sure when I’m in Santander. It was a bit expensive(for me) — $ 21 total, but it was worth it.

Great place in the centre of Santander either for lunch, have tapas or dinner. If you go for lunch, have the set menu. But it is quite a bit, so you can certainly share 2 menus among 3 people for example and be very satisfied. And this way it is much more economic, because otherwise the set menu is on the pricey side(around 13 euros per person) considering the average price for a set menu. However, given the quality of the food, it is well worth it. You can also go for tapas but this may end up being more expensive in the end, having to order quite a few in order to have a good meal. They are really good too, though. Dinner is not as exciting for me. To start with, the set menu price is increased, and then this place is great to enjoy as a stop when the shops are closed, or after a morning in the beach or something, but somehow it does not feel quite the same at night. Re the issue at hand, the food… wow! Great quality, beautifully cooked(this place was suggested to me by a trained chef :) and very satisfying indeed. Now, this place gets busy for both lunch and dinner, so make sure you book it. Otherwise you can be waiting for an hour or so at times. I would certainly go there if you happen to be in Santander at some time.
