I can’t say enough great things about Corte Ingles. — The clothes and general shopping is awesome. — The fact that is well air conditioned in the summer in Sevilla is superb. — The bathrooms — as well as the entire store — is immaculate. — The fifth floor«Gourmet Experience» is sublime. Great tapas, sweets(macaroon with gelado, anyone? like nothing I have EVER eaten!). I lived up there for the two weeks I was in Spain. Great for a quick snack or meal(otherwise almost impossible in this town) with a view that can’t be beat and super-fast free Wi-Fi. — The basement grocery store is the best supermercado I found in the city. They have a special produce section where you can’t handle the items yourself — someone from the store helps. Go there and try the Canary Island bananas and the dates from Iran. To die for! — One fateful day I lost my wallet. The awesome help from the tourist desk helped me find it! Nothing like the fear of losing your wallet 2,000 miles from home and then the joy of finding it! Corte Ingles — you saved my life for my two-week stay in Sevilla. My only complaint: when will you come to the US???

I just love this department store chain, classic! If you are a foodie(like me) go to the foodhall in the basement, its bliss pure bliss!
