You can’t go wrong with anything you order here, it’s all fantastic! The curly fries are a must! I’m also a fan of the pulled pork quesadillas and the eight hour pulled pork burger. The staff is very friendly and speaks english as well. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a good burger!

Llevamos toda la vida tragándonos celuloide americano y viendo esa forma que tienen de comer en los populares «diners». Pues bueno, ya no hace falta ni viajar, ni soportar esos telefilmes horrorosos para contemplar burgers de 3 pisos, raciones de nachos mayores que la superficie de Texas e inmensas bebidas con más azúcar que una peli de Disney. Lo tenéis todo aquí.
Las hamburguesas son sabrosísimas (muy guay el pan), los nachos con pulled pork sensacionales y la selección de birras artesanales estupenda. Dos puntos en contra: sus patatas (que te las venden como una especialidad) no me gustaron nada, y los precios, sobretodo de las bebidas (alcohólicas y no-​alcohólicas) que, aunque sean más grandes, no los encuentro justificables. RCP justiiiita.

Son pocos los Restaurantes a los que doy 5***** pero con este ni me lo cuestiono.
Antes estaban en un local más pequeño y resultaba complicado conseguir mesa, pero era normal, son las hamburguesas mas buenas que he comido en este país y de las comidas en USA (solo comparables con las de la cadena Smash Burger).
El nuevo local está muy chulo, la decoración, la atmósfera, el trato y los productos son de 10.
A quienes me soléis seguir os extrañará que en esta ocasión no tenga la famosa «Puntillita» que siempre pongo al final de mis comentarios, pero prometo que si en alguna de mis muchas visitas a este lugar encuentro alguna, la añadiré seguro a este post.

So this is Big Al’s. The best in Spain according to one Sitges website that we read. We also read about queues out the door. But, come on, can it really be that good?
We arrived at one, when they opened, but they told us they weren’t open yet. The extra walk we took just built up our appetites.
And boy did we need some space!
The Big Al is a big 13-​Euros, 4-​patties kind of a burger, with minimal salad, a decent amount of melted cheese and some sauce that helps draw out the best of the meat flavour, without drowning it.
The bean burger is also might fine, full of flavour and with great texture. It’s a bit crumbly, but we let them off that because bean burgers are hard to hold together and the quality was otherwise high.
Then there were curly fries. For me, curly fries don’t cut the mustard. But for my eating partners, they were top notch.
We were done after the burger and fries. No need for anything else and we were glad not to have ordered starters even those coming out of the kitchen looked great.
For drinks, we ordered from the 8-​strong craft beer menu and we were not disappointed — fresh, crisp beers hit the spot.
The other clientele were in their 20s and 30s except for one elderly couple who obviously know a good thing when they see it.

Die besten Burger. Eigentlich hatte ich mit vorgenommen im meinem Urlaub in jedes Restaurant nur einmal zu gehen, damit ich möglichst viel ausprobieren kann, aber hier habe ich mit diesem Vorsatz gebrochen.

Vale, vale, vale… no se por donde empezar. Os lo creáis o no, no soy una persona muy aficionada a las hamburguesas y casi fui obligada a este sitio por mis acompañantes.
La experiencia fue maravillosa y puedo decir que son las mejores hamburguesas que he comido jamás.
Hay un montón de variedades (incluso alguna opción vegetariana), las cervezas también son excelentes (muchas de ellas con carácter artesano), las patatas que vienen con la hamburguesa riquisimas y los entrantes también son reseñables, sobre todo los nachos que no llevan guacamole…¡Ir si podéis ! ¡ no pienso contároslo todo! :)
El ambiente y el trato insuperables… pero…lo mejor… viene ahora…¡ tienen una hamburguesa que es tan grande que es un reto en si misma! Si te la terminas ponen tu foto en la pared.

I have been to Sitges many times and I have never visited Big Als despite seeing the great reviews on Unilocal and TA. They moved to a newer premises in the past year which I think looks more inviting.
The two of us decided it was a night away from tapas so we headed here. Funnily enough, the first thing we saw when we walked in was our two friends sitting down ordering. Great minds think alike!
The staff are very friendly and helpful. We all tried the burgers and the house draft beer. The burgers are wonderful– the best I have eaten in a long time. We were very stuffed at the end with no room for dessert. I am glad that we decided to skip starters too– the burgers are that filling.
I love tapas and wine but sometimes you want a change, and burgers and beer in Big Als is a very tasty and welcome change. Try it — you wont be disappointed.

Que gran lugar! fuí a comer a esta famosa hamburguesería de Sitges, gracias a Marc J, que nos indicó el sitio. La verdad es que me gustaron muchísimo las hamburguesas, el pan, la carne, el sabor del conjunto en sí, y las patatas rizadas tan ricas y sabrosas.
El local era pequeño y muy bien ambientado, típica hamburguesería, con una gran variedad de hamburguesas a elegir, y distintos tamaños, hay incluso para los tamaños gigantes una pared con la foto de los que se han podido terminar toda la hamburguesa.
Si pasas por sitges has de pasarte por allí! de las mejores hamburguesas que he probado, además de la amabilidad y simpatica del personal de allí.
No te la puedes perder!

Ayer fui a comer en esta hamburguesería y salí muy contento por el trato recibido y, ¿como no? por sus hamburguesas. Empezando por el local no es muy grande pero muy acogedor y moderno, se agradece al ser mas pequeño ya que el trato es mas continuo. En cuanto a la carta tiene bastante variedad y con diferentes tamaños según el hambre de cada uno, yo me pedí la BBQ y si volviera ls volveria a pedir otra vez lo mas seguro por su sabor y por la textura de sus hamburguesas. El pan es muy blando y entra bastante bien ya que no empañaga, en ninguna hamburguesería que he ido hasta al momento no lo he probado. Todas las hamburguesas van con patatas muy curiosas y muy ricas.
Muy recomendable!

Great burgers, but the signature ones are HUGE! The are truly american style, with up to 6 meat patties in one burger!
— Curly fries were awesome. Some of the best curly fries I’ve had in a long time, especially in Spain.
— Pulled pork Nacho’s were just what you expect. Awesome. They come with some jalapeños that are proper spicy.
— They have 4 American craft beers on tap. 1 lager, 1 white beer and 2 IPA’s.
— We had the BBQ and the Delux burgers, both were size «small», but came with 2 patties each! Curly fries were standard.
— Staff were great and friendly. No bookings/​reservations possible.
All in all, this place is on the cutting edge of the American burger trend in Catalonia.

Las hamburguesas más impresionantes que he probado! (a parte de las de Sausalito ;))
Si te gusta la carne, este puede ser un sitio interesante para visitar, ¿Has probado alguna hamburguesa de OCHO pisos?!!
Sí sí, ocho hamburguesas dentro de un pan increíble, acompañadas de patatas fritas en forma de muelle… Brutal!
Hay cosas que podrían mejorar quizá: el sistema de aire acondicionado, podrían comprar alguna trona para niños (12,99 € en Ikea), aceptar reservas por teléfono… Pero por otro lado es normal, el local no es muy grande y siempre está lleno, así que no creo que estos temas les preocupen demasiado.
De todas formas, si quieres una hamburguesa Americana, este es el sitio!

Local curioso con hamburguesas enormes, los camareros súper simpáticos, atentos y agradables. Las hamburguesas buenas pero tampoco para tirar cohetes, sobre todo porque las cocinan a mi gusto demasiado. La cerveza lager artesanal muy, muy rica.

It’s sooo good. Mad respect I have to go back!
Ok So we were looking for a good burger joint and thought we found one until Thomas the owner of our hotel told us about the best burger in town. We stopped by and it was still closed about 1200 noonish so we decided to wait and went back about 0200 and it was packed. We sat down at the bar and ate. The beer was great. Big Al had a good selection and the burgers they serve will compete with any in America. We met Big Al and he’s awesome. We will stop by one more time before we leave.

¿Todavía piensas que has de ir a Brooklyn para probar las mejores hamburguesas del mundo? Pues estás muy equivocad@. Han sido y son las mejores hamburguesas que he probado nunca. Mejores incluso que las que he probado en EEUU.
Le pedimos al dueño que nos hiciera una foto y en vez de decir ¡Patata! dijo ¡Grasa!, con esto ya nos pudimos hacer una idea del festival de calorías que nos íbamos a dar.
Todo fue exquisito. Además tienen cervezas artesanales, ¿Qué más queréis?.

I had been in Big Al’s in the previous location and they have improved the ambiance inside, it looks less Grease kind of American and more stylish, much better for my taste, but that’s just it :).
We had the menu, with Cheese Quesadillas + Deluxe Burger and they have the best burger in Spain by TripAdvisor for a reason… Absolutely great! They were pretty fast in serving, just the right timing.
The waiter was very friendly and funny and spoke English. Definitely coming back again when I visit Sitges!
For gay visitors: it’s ran by bears! Haha amazing! :D
