I’m not sure whether a place can be classified a beach(playa) without sand. I grew up near a beach and sand is the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of the beach followed by sun and the sea, of course! Saying that, this particular spot is beautiful. It can be a great place for some reflection as one watches the wave crash against the rocks and water seeps into the natural pool. It can also be a great place to look at the little fish swim and tiny crabs crawling between the rocks. Don’t worry, they aren’t that many at all. You’ll be lucky to spot one! It is a bit far out from most amenities however there are some cafés and bars at the top of the stair cases which lead to the beach. After soaking up the sun, it is great watching the tide rise from the café! The beach is surrounded by mountains and colourful buildings on the left hand side(if you’re facing the beach). A great spot and not a bad place to experience Tenerife’s blue sea!
