Delicious, convenient, and you must try the dessert«almond cream». Both the service and the food is excellent. I had the«bacalao»(cod) and it came with some steam potatoes and a big size shrimp. Recommended

This restaurant came highly recommended by a local shopkeeper in Toledo who said their food is good and priced well. She´s right. We had the seafood paella and the famous Toledo local specialty, ´´carcamusa´´, it´s a tomato-based marinara type dish that has pork, carrots, tomatoes, onions and green peas stewed into it. It is the most delicious thing I´ve tasted outside of all the tapas and paellas one could have in Spain. You could literally live off just one of these, with a side of bread and you´ll be set for the whole day. The paella was good, better than the one I had in Barcelona, but the other dish was the highlight. The service was very personable. It was just 1 older guy, 1 woman and a chef running the whole thing. The woman runs the bar and the outside tables, the guy serves the inside of the restaurant and the chef comes out every so often to pop his head out and get fresh air. I would recommend eating inside if you don´t smoke and if you want to stay cool since there is A/C. Overall, a great experience. To make it that much better, he served us shots of their local liqueur called ´´Licor the Tomillo´´. A yellow colored thick liquid that goes down smoothly. He said the locals drink it with their coffee, which he served us with ours. No charge! Just a local welcome gift! What a treat! And did I mention it´s located directly across the Monasterio de San Juan de Los Reyes? So you can stuff your face with great food then walk around the Monastery to explore and burn off calories.
