The filthiest place in Javea. The kitchen is absolutely infect and greasy. The prices are so good because they ‘poison’ the customers. Preposterous !!

We live in Benidorm and have been going to Scallops in Javea since they opened 13 years ago. It is in a marvellous position overlooking the beautiful bay. The food is excellent with an extensive menu and the prices are unbelievable. Without a doubt the best value for money on the Costa Blanca. When the weather gets really warm, we will have a breakfast, then have a day on the beach and go back for an early evening meal, which to us makes the perfect day. What more could you want?

For 2010 they are doing «Two for Ten» Two meals, two desserts, and a bottle of wine, all for ten euros!
Still the best breakfast for 95cents!

If you’ve got hungry teenagers on 10 euros a day, then this place is great. They can fill their tums with 3 courses and the delight of earning themselves a bottle of wine each is well worth it.
It’s the sort of restaurant you wouldn’t necessarily want to take your mother, but when the euros are getting tight its the place to go.
Big neon signs announce it’s position at the end of the Arenal Beach and menus are written in English (in fact you have to ask if you’d like a Spanish menu) LOL

also bei allem was gut und recht ist… wer nur einen funken von anspruch an’s essen hat würde hier nicht hingehen! das restaurant war durchaus gut besucht — vorwiegend englisches clientel — und war in den dumpingpreisen unschlagbar. so kostet ein drei-​gänge-​menü 5,95 EUR, incl einer ganzen flasche wein! alles weitere a la card, wie englisches frühstück, hähnchen, hamburger usw. billigst.
doch, wie ich oben schon schrieb, bei den preisen kann die qualität nur auf der strecke bleiben. schade, masse statt klasse.

Cheap and cheerful.
Probably one of the busiest restaurants on the Arenal — all year round. The value for money is quite something — hence so many English — we know how to keep a pound in our pockets.
Triple fronted restaurant — taken over the opposition over the years. Large terraces with excellent views over the beach and Arenal bay. Very successful, well decorated indoors but sparse. Maybe too austere, but what the heck. Who wants to eat indoors when there are such good views on the terrace. And, yes, you can get fish and chips here, two portions of hake if you wish, plus starter and dessert AND a FULL bottle of plonk — for less than 9 Euros! Good value!
Now serving a special breakfast menu until approx 13:00hrs — about 1.25 Euros — 2007 pricing.
Service: Very good considering the size. Staff mostly English, but Spanish also spoken.
